Utah firefighters to help in California

Thank you for your help at this time. So much has already burned, and so many fires are still not nearly contained. We have been breathing smoky air for two weeks now, and our "fire season" is very early this year. The unusual phenomenon of over a thousand lightning strikes (without any rainstorms to go along with them) has really hit hard this year.

Again, thanks to the firefighters and also for their families.

Another word of thanks from California. I am currently east of the Sierra Nevada, a long way from the biggest fire, and the air quality for thousands of square miles is like the Salt Lake Valley or Las Vegas under an inversion layer.

We appreciate the assistance of many people from all over the country. While we hope our neighbors in other states will not have disasters, we also hope we will be able to reciprocrate when the need arises.
