Sad that these students had nothing better to do than burglarize families who work hard to provide for their own family. Maybe, these boys should be a part of the 'Working class community where they may learn respect for hardwork or, are they born with gold spoons?? Coaches play a huge role but they are not responsible for these kids actions, cops should stop saying 'These are good kids' what about all the other GOOD kids who are football players that did 'Stupid things and have been punished publicly.

YOU GUYS NEED TO GO GET A LIFE INSTEAD OF WORRYING ABOUT THIS. IT HAPPENED O WELL STOP CRYING. THESE KIDS MADE A MISTAKE JUST LIKE YOU'VE DONE BEFORE. THEY SPENT TWO WEEKS IN DETENTION AND HAVE TONS OF STUFF TO PAY BACK. SO WORRY ABOUT YOUR SELF GROW UP IM SURE YOUR ALL OLDER ADULTS. IT TIME TO MATURE. QUIT DWELLING ON THE PAST. YOU ACT AS IF YOU KNOW THESE KIDS. THEY WILL PAY THE PRICE. BUT SERIOUSLY GROW UP. IN OTHER STATES THIS WOULDN BE A TOPIC

Many of you are saying "throw the book" "hang them high" ridiculous. Those who are saying forgive, but still punish, thank you. I know more of this story than i'm sure most of you. Realize that not all of them have 22 felonies.. mainly 2 of them do. I know some of these kids just barely got involved and were caught. Yes it was wrong, yes they should be punished, banned from football this year? I'm not sure myself. It could keep them out of trouble, and help them even. I know they have paid and suffered for their actions and still are. Please stop saying crude comments like you know what's going on. It's really stupid how murders will be on the front page for 2 days, but THIS will be on the front page for weeks. Is football really this important? Don't blame parents, don't blame coaches. It was their decision. Please look at it logically, not all of the 5 teens are the same, some are capable of changing and are doing it now. Maybe they should play? Again, I'm not even sure where I stand. Just be mature and accept what happens.

Hey i GO to Syracuse High School. I am a Junior Class Officer. And I'd like to say that our school has outstanding students, whether these boys play or not, respect still needs shows to the thousands of other students breaking their backs to make SHS have a great first few years! And need I say there are sixty other football players out on the field every day this summer working hard that deserve the same public respect and support like any other High School Football team. Its not fair to throw a whole basket of apples out because a few were rotten.

Just in case someone is reading this I know for a fact the high school is not allowing these kids to play. It hase been decided that they are all off the team.

I moved from LA, and have found that the problem is the "self righteous" attitudes of most of the Utahans. from what i have read here, most of you are. what i haven't heard is "Forgiveness". I am not a religious man, but aren't most of you from a religion that is been taught to forgive? i believe these boys will not be given a break. "ye without sin cast the first stone" practice what you preach Syracuse!
