"Governor says allegations against Walker won't hurt Republican Party"

I can't imagine what *would* hurt the Utah Republican party. Outside of direct repudiation by the LDS Church (which "doesn't get involved in politics unless it's another state's issues), Utah Republicans know that they are guaranteed 70% of the vote, regardless of issues OR criminality.

I agree. Is there anything short of a repudiating statement by the President of the LDS Church that would "hurt" the Republican party in Utah?

And even then, a lot of Republicans would probably disagree and say that the President should keep his nose out of politics.

This is getting old, I am tired of hearing about Walker. Imagine, politicians actually engaged in politics. Get over it, Walker is no longer a candidate, let's start looking at the real issues in the election...

But the Governor DID endorse Senator Curt Bramble in his race against Republican opponents.

I'd still love to know why.

Agreed. Isn't this why politicians have a bad name?

"Hey, if you drop out, I'll let you be my VP candidate." Don't all politicians try that?

If you're losing, accuse your opponent of something.
By the time the dust settles, no one will know if your accusation was true. I guess that is what Ed Alter did in 1988. It happens all the time. It doesn't make it right; it just makes it politics.

When are the citizens of Utah going to stop the corruption and vote out the good ole boys club on the hill? Bigelow, Bramble, Hughes, Hutchings, Curtis & Valentine all need to go.

I do think that this is a wake up call for all those legislatures who think they have the power and will keep it. I know that come this election I will vote against bigelow, bramble, hughes, curtis, clark and valentine... and I am a republican!
wrong . . .? | 9:53 p.m. July 2, 2008
How do you vote against all them? I thought you could only vote for one legislator in your district?

Why don't you just run for a position and fix it all in your infinite wisdom and knowledge.

I sure wish our governor was educated enough to know that "something may have went on" is grammatically incorrect. "...something may have gone on" is correct and most Americans learn this in 5th grade. Money may buy Huntsman a lot, but it can't disguise his lack of intelligence or mediocre education. The village idiots run the village in this state. No wonder most corporations would never dream of sending their employees to live here. If the governor isn't educated enough to know the grammar of his native language, then no one is going to want to educate their children here; he is a reflection on Utah. He needs to learn to speak like educated people do and learn to choose to support people with integrity (not the Bramble, Curtis, Hughes, Stephenson trash that he loves).
