The old west show's are great, along with its music as well - however, another icon is all but lost in the shadow's, and that's being at a burlesque show is a thrilling experience, heightened by the expectation of the unexpected. It feels like a throwback to the 1940s, conjuring images of cabarets featuring music, vaudeville and dancing women slipping off their silk gloves (and a whole lot more) while still leaving the audience in suspense.

When will the people of Utah also "bring this back to"?.

That's what I want to know.

I've met a lot of people in the music and entertainment business, but none are as gracious as Joan. She is doing so much to bring good family fun entertainment to the state of Utah and we should support her efforts.
Alex Boye is one incredibly funny and entertaining guy and I'd go to the Monday show just for him!

My family loved the show. Since the article didn't mention it, the website has a lot of information on it, too. The address is www.showtimeutah.com

Alex Boye - not there! | 9:50 a.m. July 8, 2008
We loved the old west show when we went a couple weeks ago, it was everything we were promised it would be - the BEST place to take out of town company, ours are still talking about it, said it was the best thing they did while in Utah.

With that said, we went to the Family Night Live show, Alex Boye is no longer there, some scheduling conflict, but a guy named Adam Simon is the MC. At first we were dissapointed that we wouldn't see Alex, but Adam was a blast! A great MC/entertainer. Where he finds that kind of energy I don't know, but I wish I had it! The show itself was again, everything promised. Great variety, the performers were really good. I was surprised to find Rick Macy (he does a LOT of films in Utah - he was Helam, the guy that goes blind in Testaments) doing a mini show on Mark Twain, funny stuff! Just gotta recommend this place - wow, way to go Pleasant Grove!
