Utah Jazz: Miles gets offer, ponders Revue plans
44 comments | Read story
Perhaps we can sign and trade Miles and Hart and/or Collin's expiring contract for a backup for DWill.
From the little I've seen, CJ has real potential. Harpring will not last much longer and you never know where AK will wind up in a season or two. If I were CJ, I would give the Jazz two more seasons and then see where things are headed.
Please learn from last year's mistake and play in the Revue. You need to start the season is the best shape possible and, let's face it, it took you nearly half the season to get into shape.
You seem to have an upside that has surfaced here and there. If you want BIG money, then set the table for it by coming out shooting the lights out, defending like no other and you will get the money.
Sincerely,
Jazz Nation
Anonymous, you're a scared guy that's afraid to back up his opinion (hence Anonymous).
Cj should play in the summer. Brewer got better during the summer.
YOu get of rid players who are limited like boozer, korver, brewer.
If CJ signs the QO, it's guaranteed money, but he loses any chance he has of getting a bigger offer. If he doesn't sign - and gets hurt, the Jazz can rescind the offer.
Tough decision for CJ. If I were in his shoes, I'd be asking my agent to get me the best deal out there with another team.
Love the Jazz, but they're really jerking this kid around. Kevin and Jerry need to stop the power trip and mind games. If they want CJ to be a part of the team, just man up and get a deal done. Or tell him to find the best deal out there and they'll agree not to match an offer in return for a late first, early second pick.
All of you lamenting what the Jazz have DONE TO CJ vs. what the Jazz have DONE FOR CJ. They have dumped millions into this kid and continue to do so. The Jazz originally signed him to a 2 year GUARANTEED contract when he was drafted in the second round!!
What this whole process essentially shows is that CJ should have gone to Texas and played College hoops. Instead the Jazz have payed millions to keep him around and give him an opportunity to succeed in the NBA. The Jazz is a business and has to be run as such. Any other team may not have been as patient as the Jazz have.
I think he is talented and I hope he succeeds but he needs to be able to consistenly perform at both ends of the floor.
Hart & Collins gotta go, even if the Toyota dealer has to eat a mill or two.
Last year we had this SAME situation and guess what.... nobody else in the NBA showed any interest in CJ Miles!! He's not as good as you people think. His feelings get hurt to easily, and his confidence goes down like a rock whenever he makes a mistake.
If Miles can adjust his attitude this year and play in the review and work hard like EVERY OTHER PLAYER on the Jazz team, then keep him. If not then let him see what else he can get.
If DWill played in the review last year CJ Miles certainly should have!
