More money to keep the city services flowing, it is apparent no one on the west Jordan council has any real world business experience. The private sector could teach them a lesson on how to run the government, but it is just easier to raise taxes.
Always the threat of cutting services, how about a freeze on employees wages, getting employees to spend forty hours on the job, do away with the freebies and perks they give the employees, which are too many to list. No go ahead and raise taxes the elderly need to learn a lesson on civics and how great the local government can be.

The city needs to cut out the wasteful social programs that bleed residents dry!

These city despots think that the funds that they freely spend are theirs... and have no mind to the sweat from the brows of those that make it all possible.

The mayor and council members should be trimming their budgets... NOT INCREASING THEM. They always cite road and infrastructure as the reason for the increases... but NEVER look at trimming wasteful programs as a source of revenue.

VOTE THESE PEOPLE OUT!

Too bad the City Council didn't know about the $1.4 Million 'error' in the budget before the vote.

Too bad the City Council wasn't made aware of the $1 Million INCREASE in taxes from the Telecom Companies' mistakes before the vote.

Maybe there wouldn't have been a tax hike.

Let's hope Mr Luebbers gets the job the end of this week.
