I hope the new boards of the two new districts will exercise prudence and collegiality in attending to the job they face. Many interlocal agreements will need to be structured in the next year to insure our students have access to the programs they are counting on. I wish all of them the best in this endeavor.
An attitude off cooperation within the new boards and with the existing JSD board and the other new district board will go a long way to making that job easier.
@Paid Twice - well if they're doing twice the work (a gross underestimate given start-up requirements for any organization) I don't have a problem with it. They'll be doing a lot more than their getting paid for....!
@Z - not at all - June was the first reasonable election to run with. If you wait until November you WASTE precious time in getting things going and making the transition as smooth as possible. If you truely beleive the only time you can have an election is Nov, then you don't understand the time it takes to do things.
