I went to this place today after I read this and it is everything and more that was written about it.

I LOVED the dooners and the gelato! Wow, I have neer tasted ice cream that is even close to as good as that! I am sold!

Thanks for such a great suggestion Des News! Truly, this place lives up to its vote as the BEST FOOD IN RIVERTON! I love living here now...lol!

We went to Dooners after reading this article. We were in a hurry so ordered at the drive-thru. We ordered a Bzzztmark (?)dooner (the steak and chicken one)and the nachos. They were both delicious. We will be returning to try more items.

Yummy.

This is the best restaurant EVER! Their staff is simply amazing, almost as good as the food. I was only able to try the mint chocolate gelato, but it was by FAR better than any ice cream I've ever tasted. I'm going to keep coming back again and again and again. It has the best atmosphere and the BEST food! I absolutely LOVE Dooner's Dinner!

You HAVE to go try it and see for yourself!!!!!

I am a Dooner junkie. I have been to there many times since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food is wonderful. I really like the Dooners because they are filling with plenty of fresh veggies and mouth-watering spiced meats. The Bascom Grill is also really good, especially the Smothered Burrito. Their Italian gelato ice cream tops off the menu with delightful sweetness that is half the calories of ice cream so you don't have to feel guilty after eating it. They have flavors like chocolate hazelnut, pina colada, birthday cake, cheesecake, and so many more. Recently they added an item to their menu that I think is awesome. It is is like a pizza with the spiced Dooner grilled meat. Sooooo tasty! This place is fantastic for pleasant, casual dining. Also I just heard they have added catering for business parties and weddings. Imagine 10 flavors of Italian gelato ice cream served fresh to your wedding guests. Would you look stylish or what! If you haven't tried a Dooner, you are missing out. They are located at 2778 W. and 12600 S. Get out there and get stuffed!

Well I tried to go to Dooners and they were closed. This was September 27 2008. There was a sign on the door that said sorry but we had to close, Does anyone know why they closed. I was really excited to try it and wasnt able to.

I was really excited to try out Dooners when I first heard of it's opening over a year ago. To my surprise, however, it was nothing like the authentic dners I once had in Germany. It was quite a disappointment for many German/European return missionaries in the Salt Lake valley area. Though the Americanization of such things is understandable, I for one am not surprised that they're closing down.
