Cisneros touts green, affordable housing

In December, 1997, Cisneros was indicted on 18 counts of conspiracy, giving false statements and obstruction of Justice. Medlar (his mistress) used some of the Cisneros hush money to purchase a house (hopefully a "green" house) and entered into a bank fraud scheme with her sister and brother-in-law to conceal the source of the money. In January, 1998, Medlar pleaded guilty to 28 charges of bank fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and obstruction of justice.
In September, 1999, Cisneros negotiated a plea agreement, under which he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of lying to the FBI, and was fined $10,000. He did not receive jail-time or probation. He was pardoned by President Bill Clinton in January 2001. AND THIS GUY IS TELLING US HOW TO LIVE?

For the proverbial record, Cisneros was never convicted on one of those counts. Additionally, he has spent his entire life providing housing solutions in the nation. Shame how some live in the past when the present has so much good. Bravo Mr. Cisneros, our community clearly needs projects like this!

Personally i think it's unfair to judge a man and his work because of what he may or may not have done in the past. BOZO, you probably did something illegal during your teenage years, so by your standards i shouldn't believe anything you write. Easy enough. Next time maybe don't just cut and paste for your comment.

Those who judge have something to hide. This is a very positive development for our community. I saw the news piece last evening on Ch. 13 and it looks fabulous.
