It is about time that they prosecute and put away those FLDS. They are a bad group of child molestors and women enslavers. The old men just can't get a woman in an honest way so they devised a way to enslave them and impregnate them when they are children. It is truly a sin and a horror. We will not tolerate it in the USA! They will learn their lesson. It saddens me greatly.
Show trials | 5:52 p.m. June 18, 2008
It's all just for show. They know their evidence is not admissible, that they botched everything from the first search warrant.

Grandpa Phil, do us all a favor and get back on your rocking chair, put your teeth in a cup and see if you can even remember your name. Your comments have "zero" merit; no charges have been laid, remember? Oh sorry, memory seems to be in short supply at this particular juncture of your life.

Prove it took place in TX | 5:58 p.m. June 18, 2008
I don't think the DNA is enough - don't they have to prove the underage female had relations in Texas. They could say they went down to Mexico.

That's going to be the hard part of the case. Of course they could always file charges and then drop the case.

I'm also wondering - if the families don't answer questions due to criminal charges can this be used to take the child away. What if they are not hiding underage sex, but simply hiding affairs.

Texas needs flushed | 6:06 p.m. June 18, 2008
Odd, seems the Texas CPS miscreants wouldn't consider the birth certificates provided by FLDS members because they could have been forged. Yet, they never considered asking the states of Utah or Arizona for duplicates for verification. Now suddenly, when prosecution is considered, birth certificates are in rich supply, valid and easily approved by both states. Hypocrital bigots!

So many people wanted relief for the mothers and children and wanted the FLDS men thrown in jail. Reality is finally headed in their direction.

The FLDS does a better job than the mafia when it comes to maintaining secrecy. It is very capable of exacting loyalty out of all of its members, including wronged members.

By doing this, suspected criminal behavior goes largely unpunished. The FLDS are able to live by their own rules rather than abide by the rules of the government. Time again, the government ignores the criminal aspects of the FLDS simply because it has no power to prosecute when victims are unwilling to testify. What has changed in this case is that Texas may have gathered enough circumstantial evidence to prosecute some crimes.

It would be interesting to know exactly how much criminal behavior is suspected versus how much is prosecutable. Perhaps 200 adults were participants in polygamous relationships. There were maybe 20 cases of statutory rape and 40 cases of failure to protect a child where offspring existed to prove the case and maybe five other cases of statutory rape documented by testimony or photographs. There appears to be about 275 potential cases.

Have you lost your memory? Read your comment to me last week. Do you remember mind police? How can you blanket 500+people? I can't connect your comment last week with this one. Are you OK?

Well with this new revelation about the grand jury
the rumor mill again is in full force.

The 4 th amendment does not allow a witch hunt search warrant. I would guess that since the information about the circumstances surrounding the warrant were false that would put any and all evidence seized under question.

This case will gone on for years. The FLDS with a couple of exceptions have committed no crimes.

The group by nature intermarry and have young girls who may start having sex with anyone possible.
Yes teenage girls sometimes have sex, wow what a surprise. I guess it might be better to be married to someone who could support the family rather than
some ethnic group who abandons there own.

Why all this fuss over a group of people who practice there beliefs?

Why the thought to place hundreds of children in the abusive foster home system of Texas/

And why is Texas so set on destroying a peacefull
group of people who really want to be left alone.

Any supporters of the Texas actions please look in the mirror real hard and ask your self if it is right
to steal children without cause?

It is easy to hide something better than the mafia when it doesn't exist. Have you ever thought of that?

Grandpa Phil, i think its great to!!! And i also think the girls that will testify will tell exactly what goes on in that compound.. They are WITNESSES!!! REAL PEOPLE!

Oh, now that is cute.... and childish. It is obvious that school is out for the Summer because of the children in here. Someone (probably commonsense) logged onto this blog right away and made a stupid remark using my name. I guess I must have hit a nerve on another blog so someone is trying to discredit me. For all you folks out there that recognize the name (thanks karl), I fully support the FLDS in their fight to keep their children. And, I hope the FLDS do the right thing for all Americans and sue CPS and Texas for the flaggrant violations of their Constitutional and familial rights. To my knowledge, there is no evidence of yet to support criminal charges and I hope there never will be.
