Just today, I was driving on Bonanza around 5:30, and a Park CIty motorcycle cop
went right through the crosswalk while a whole family on bikes was crossing the
road. Me and two other cars were stopped on the other side, and I even honked
at him as he passed me. He was not speeding, and when he saw me point at the
family, I could tell he felt bad, but he none the less broke the law. My point
is this, everyone (even police) get destracted while driving, when you are
walking or riding a bike, you have to assume that everyone else is out to kill
you...because usually they are, even though maybe unintentionally.

What a great idea. Now Park City can back up traffic even more. the reaction
time (3/4 of a second) of a person driving a car at 20 mph is approximately 22
feet. That's how long it takes to get on the brakes and does not include
the distance it takes to actually stop the car. The point being is that a
pedestrian can stop from walking speed in less that a foot. Really, who has a
better chance of stopping for who? Now I am not in favor of cars not yielding
to pedestrians, but traffic in Park City is already an a near stand still.
Wouldn't traffic lights monitoring pedestrian crossings make more sense? A
new Chief of Police... how about some new ideas? And don't tell me Park
City does not have the money.
