Was he on foot? Would he know how to hitch at ride? Is he verbal so someone could ask him his name?

Darling, get a dictionary. Endangered would refer to the person who is missing. In danger would refer to the general public. An autistic person is not a dangerous person. You are showing your ignorance. Duh!

Actually, darling, many autistic people who lack effective communication skills can become violent and are indeed a danger to those around them. Especially in new and unfamiliar surroundings, as this young man most certainly is. Believe me, as I am the mother of a wonderful yet sometimes dangerous autistic child.

You might want to think first before putting down those who ask sincere questions. Sincere questions serve to educate and the only ignorance I have seen on this thread has been yours.

Was he alone when he disappeared? Does anyone know where to start looking? These are some of the questions that would help find him. My thoughts and prayers go out to him. I hope he is found unharmed.

I am also the mother of an autistic child, and I found melva's question to sound ignorant and offensive as well. Very, very few autistic people pose any danger to anyone, and the article was very clear about who the advisory was for. She may not have meant it to be offensive, but it sure came off that way. I will be watching out for this poor young man, and praying for his safe return. As a vulnerable autistic individual, there is far more danger of a "normal" person hurting or being violent toward him than vice versa.

I hope they found him soon. He can get dehydrated or hurt all by himself. I hope they post more info or picture so he can be easily identified. My prayers is with him that he be found soon.
