Hogwash Lavarr. How exactly is the internet which is loosely controlled chaos in itself going to usher in this golden age of federalism that will allow for voluntary and shifting 'best practices' to govern 300 million people in the richest and most developed nation on earth? Your gobblegook and mushy description of this brave new world you propose is about as poetic as the democrats you would critize for their visionary thoughts on their a more perfect union (union meaning less seperatist federal power as you propose). Although it i
is nice to reflect about the original intent of the Founders - it cannot easily be applied to today's world - which is why the constitution and our form of government are living, adaptable organizations - were it not so we'd have probably have been 'naturally' selected out of the race any number of points in our history where our national security was threatened. Tighten up your arguements Lavarr you sound silly; like it or not we are where we are. There is no going back to a point in history that is vastly different from today and irrelvant to the challenges we currently face.

LaVarr didn't say that the internet would usher in the golden age, he said that it could be used by local governments to do so - it's not the "loosely controlled chaos" that will solve the problems but the people who are ready to make use of better communication and collaboration that would do it. If you look at the way business has changed since the advent of the internet then the proof is there that this could be done - if it will be done is a separate issue.
