The John Adams miniseries was often slow but was so interesting and informative that I could hardly wait to see its next installments. Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney were both wonderful in this series.

I felt that Kevin Spacey did a pretty fair imitation of Bobby Darin in 'Beyond the Sea'. I was just glad to see Bobby honored!

Cissy Spacek was outstanding as Loretta Lynn - "Coalminer's Daughter". Juaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon were also outstanding as Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash-"I Walk the Line" - and let's not forget Beverly D'Angelo in "Sweet Dreams". She was a real good Patsy Cline ... and that's cetainly not an easy imitation! I say bravo to all of them for putting themselves out there to imitate these 'immortals'.

-sorry Tommy Lee Jones- didn't mean to leave you out in mentioning "Coalminer's Daughter". You were and outstanding 'Doolittle Lynn' and a wonderful actor in general.

Paul Giamatti was also great in "Cinderalla Man". It was the first time I sat up and took notice of him. Russell Crowe put in a great performance - wonderful film.

Began watching this with my wife and was a bit surprised at the grittiness of it all. First time watchers beware of the tar-and-feather scene with full male frontal nudity. That was a shocker as this is rated TV-14. Other than that, excellent historical drama and acting (only seen the first episode so far).

I began watching the John Adams miniseries on DVD last evening. I was having difficulty staying awake until the tar-and-feathering scene. I was so disturbed by it that I could not sleep last night. Wish someone would have warned me ahead of time.
