Good for David. He is bound to go a long ways in the music world. Can't wait for his CD to come out later this year.

You've done it now....Look out for the comments headed your way.

I think the same thing, but I know better than to say anything about it here, some of the people on this site would eat their own pet before saying such a thing.

Good luck, nice knowing ya.

I love so much of the positive information that I have read about David. He has a wonderful voice. It has been fun to see his upbeat, positive attitude! Congradulations David!

This should be good | 4:38 p.m. June 10, 2008
It will be interesting to see how little archie does when he can't sing songs that are already hits. All he did was found songs that were already popular and that had a lot of emotion and sing them. I guess we'll find out if he can do more than just sing someone else's stuff. Good luck to him but I wouldn't be suprised to see him disappear after 2 cds.

Pets really can taste good and just like David Archie they are often under rated. Go doggy! Go horsey! Go piggy! Go Davidy! I hope your music takes over the world and liberates captives of poverty the world over!

Every young male if worthy should serve a full time mission. This is the counsel LDS members have received. Take it for what it is worth.

I think David is already on his mission. He is affecting people worldwide in a positive and uplifting manner. His fan base grows daily and I can understand why. He not only has a gorgeous voice but is a sweet, unassuming, humble young man who already is a role model for millions. His likeability factor is off the charts. I for one cannot wait until his full-length CD comes out!

Go Archie!

Sorry, Pro-Mission: As a life long Church member and a returned missionary, I believe there is more than one way to reach out and spread the Message. David A. can "touch" more people in just one concert or one CD than the rest of us during a full time mission.
P.S. I hope I'm not "cursed", but I feel the same way about BYU athletes.

I lived in Riviera Apartments in Provo when the Osmonds lived above the office. I also worked for the Donny and Marie Show. I did not know the Osmonds well, but did have occasion to talk with them from time to time.

One of the problems they had with serving a mission was they were so well known and popular in most of the world that the LDS Church was concerned they would be a distraction and that young girls would be baptized for the wrong reasons.

Whether David Archuleta should serve a full-time proselyting mission is best left to him, his Bishop and Stake President, and the LDS Church.

Well, my young music lovers, here is one from an old man. At 70 years of age, I too am a IDOL fan. The Mrs. and I watched every week and we voted too. After six somewhat weak seasons, with only a few excellent singer, season seven has to be the best yet. The top 10 this year were great. Personally I am a ballad man, having grown up with Frank, Dean, Sammy, Johnny , and even Elvis at times. I don't like "screamers". If you have a good voice sing, don't scream. As for youthful David Archuleta, I think he will go far if managed correctly and gets the proper advertising. Patti and I plan to add his music to our "good old listening music". That goes for Cook, Johns, White, Mercado, Hernandez, and our fan favorite, Chikezie. Best to all you young people.

WOW GUYS !!! Let's tone down the jealousy and give the talented kid an atta boy. He's young, got a ways to go but the guy has the high hand and he will put it to good use. I wish him the very best in whatever he does. I also plan to add him to my listening pleasure whenever he honors us with a new CD. #1 FAN All the way. The kid melts my heart.........GO DAVID....KNOCK EM DEAD !!!

Let's just hope his "daddy" doesn't screw it up anymore for him. He is young and has had some issues already with his voice box so let's not get too excited. He needs to grow up first and enjoy being a teenager. As for the mission, not everyone needs to go out for two years, some are on a mission for life and having served one myself, there were too many out there for all the wrong reason, family and community pressures. David can make the choice when he gets to that age. David is talented but so are thousands of others and my question if he wasn't from Utah or a mormon would many of you rally care just like the cheerleaders at Murray High never bothered with him until he got his fame -- Good luck to David

Why can't this kid enjoy his success and just prove all the critics wrong. I don't understand the correlation between obtaining a record deal and going on a mission. I wasn't aware that American Idol was supposed to be about advertising for the LDS church. Let's not put so much pressure on this young kid...how about he gets a little freedom to see what's out there in the rest of world. He's got the rest of his life to sell his religion.
