I want to thank the Utah Legislature and Leonard Blackham for working to combat cheatgrass. You have our gratitude.

While I do agree that the use of non-natives is necessary to combat cheatgrass, I think we should keep an eye on this program to make sure it is not just another way to take important rangelands for a variety of uses and convert them into a monoculture of exotic grasses with a ulterior motive of prodcing more cow-chow.
