After all of the "Modeling" Business trouble Stacey Eastman has gotten into in THIS town, DOCUMENTED in the press, it is SHOCKING that Elite is teaming with him.
Not a good reputation around here. In fact,most of the top WORKING talent in Utah knows to avoid him.Just google his name, and see the scams that pop up, DOCUMENTED.
There are two Strong Agencies here already, and Elite should have partnered with one of them. They have Business Integrity as Talent/Model Agents,and they DON'T CHARGE LARGE FEES to young girls and their parents to "become a model" as Mr. Eastman did here.
They are the agencies that represent the Top Talent in Utah to Clients all over the country, in Fashion, Commercial, Film, and Voice work, and they do it honestly.
The Utah Agents can do the same thing as Stacey Eastman, and are already doing so, by connecting their top Talent with International Agencies, such as Ford, Wilhelmina, etc.
Mr. Eastman has been in trouble too many times to be given the reigns of Elite in Utah. It is a bad thing for Elite.

the first one to admit that Super Models are gorgeous, but to read about the pressure that they are constantly going through to maintain their status, I worry about the Young Women who are going to enroll with the agency to get a shot at becoming a Model. Is it worth suffering from a Eating Disorder etc etc, to to become a Model?

These are two people who should not be in this business.Thier past problems with the business and drug use not to mention the inappropriate advances on women is horrible. This is not where i would want my doughter, wife or even son for that matter. I will not hire talent through this agency.

Probably ought to be careful making the comment that other agencies don't charge. Go to McCarty and see what they charge for photoshoot and comp cards. Pretty much standard in the business.

The fact that Eastman would venture back into the Salt Lake area to pursue a business venture is a scary thought. This man was chased out of Utah the for his last business. Google his name and you will see. Elite should have been more selective with who they allow to purchase the rights to their name.

I have been in the modeling business in utah for 8 years, and I can't even count the number of people I worked with who had nasty runins with Stacey. Some of my best friends in fact. He is baaaaaad news.

I have been in the modeling industry since I was 12 I will be 25 soon. I have modeled all over not just a "Utah" model. I have met stacey and his brother personally. I know many of the same people in the industry as they do. I can tell you right now that most of this he's so bad comes from people who didn't make it. When people get rejected they get mad and go after anyone they can. If he was such bad news and a scam he would not have had the success he has. I know for a fact, FACT he is a hard worker and does well. He even doesn't charge you like other utah agencies. He mostly does work outside Utah. So if you are mad he is here to steal work, don't worry he rather get national and international work, not a mall job in Salt Lake City. The people who work for him are not aggressive they see someone they think has a chance, they tell them that's all. Quit listening to barber shop gossip and take a look for yourself

All of you who talk about stacey like you know him. obviously you don't. He is a great man and his brother is also. Those two are the hardest working.
They are probably the nicest people. BUT they are about bringing up business, and if your not fit for it then they will tell you. It is not a personal issue with you or anyone else. It's just a business.
Plus he is pretty much family to everyone he meets.

yeah, i am very sorry for those who have a disagreement with Stacey. Basically, this is what I see from the inside. Stacey has scouts, scouts who are simply seeking out women to be the next Ali. By doing so, scouts bring in many potential models however. Stacey only keeps the ones that have the potential to be . He weeds out about 95-98% models that were scouted obviously only keeping a few every open call.

Everyone has a past - including all of you. Thank heaven none of us are judged by one season in our life. Anyone talking smack does not know Stacey Eastman at all. I've known him for 10 yrs. He is happily married with 5 kids, hardworking, faithful christian, doesn't drink or smoke, etc.

Elite joined him bcz he is amazing at his job. Many top professionals in Utah and around the world support him bcz of this fact. Get real - if one ounce of your internet paparazzi were true he would not be in biz in Utah or anywhere for that matter.

ya ya this is why the guy has 6 kids holds a temple rec. has launched 12 covers of girls on vogue all from utah name one other agency to have done this and can prove it.

let alone has operated in utah since 1992 and still does till this day.

Stacey Eastman is the real deal. If he thinks you have what it takes to model he will tell you what to do and work harder than anyone to make it happen. There are NO guarantees in this business. What happens with you is your responsibility, after all it is your life so own it. Stacey only promises to work hard for you. Stacey represents our daughter, he is kind, treats her like family, tells us what to expect, he is a reputable name in the industry and I say that because we TOTALLY CHECKED THIS MAN OUT!! Those who bad mouth him, didn't get there dream and blame him, on several different blogs I noticed, not really that clever considering one reading it can easily figure out they are all the same disgruntled Mom who's daughter obviously didn't get the overnight success they expected from the photo's they paid for.
Stacey DOES not guarantee success. He tells you if you have a chance, he tells you you need professional photos....it's your choice. We've met some of the best in this industry because of Stacey's hard work.
