I think the Suns made a big mistake letting D'Antoni go since they didn't have a coach just as good or better lined up to replace him. Now they are thinking of Jeff Hornacek? If I was a Suns fan I would be upset about the decisions the Suns have made so far in the Steve Kerr era.

Phil Johnson? Was he ever considered for any of these opening? Just wondering....It's just that he's been under the shadow for Jerry Sloan for such a long time and I think he deserves a Head Coaching job consideration....

It seems like nobody believes in our team! Why? they are one of the top five best teams in the league, and only the fith youngest team. All they need is TIME!! and another inside guy(fes will work in time). Didn't any of you watch the playoffs boozers game suffered because they constantly double teamed him. We just need a nother big down there to pull off the exta defender, or if the double comes booz can pass out and get fes an easy dunk! Boozer is a two time all*star and all NBA third team! Do you really want him gone? I don't!!!!

Exactly. Hibbert will likely be a career backup C, who specializes at shot blocking and defense. At pick #23 do you think the Jazz were going to get an allstart.

Fes is more of an effort guy, he might have a spot on this team he might not, but he doesn't have the length that Hibbert does, which the Jazz need to contend with the Lakers and the Spurs.

Hibbert would be good for 20 minutes 2.5 blocks, a few shots altered and 6 fouls a game. More importantly, he would make up for Boozer's and Memo's defensive defficiencies when he is on the floor.

I thik that peoplel should let Jeff decide where he want s to go , If it is Airzona, or Chicago, or Utah, I am sure that he will decide , He would be a good coach for the jazz when Sloan retires.

The Deseret News reported a few days ago that Phil Johnson was interviewing with the Suns, but I haven't heard if Chicago was interested. Jeff has also said that he would love to coach in Phoenix.

As far as this trading Boozer for a shot at Beasley goes, at first I thought it was very intriguing and supported the idea. Now I think it's a terrible idea. Getting Beasley doesn't solve the problems that our team has at all. It will give us a young pf who can score that doesn't play defense. I rather stick with the proven all star that score and doesn't play defense. Besides, even if we got Beasley and had a great team next year, can you imagine the playoffs? How would a rookie handle being the focus of other teams defenses and being double and sometimes triple teamed down in the paint? It's a better idea to stick with the 23rd pick where we could get a player to fill one of our needs. After seeing highlight reels and reading about players, Roy Hibbert and Robin Lopez sound like really good fits. Some mock drafts had Hibbert go 11 and Lopez go 17.

Joey Dorsey second round would help us out alot, and Boozer a flop? Boozer averaged 21 points the regular season and last season in the playoffs he did really well, you people dis him because of a bad playoff series? You guys ARE fair weather fans. No wonder we cant land a "super star" in Utah...with you people always being so wishy washy.

well how are all of my loser buddies from utah well down in LA we are competing to win ANOTHER championship, how many do you all have o ya 0! thats to bad maybe if you would have someone else instead of the worst starting 5 in the leauge you might amount to something. by the way hornacek would be a terrible coach all he does is help the jazz shoot and thats helping right?

well once again have a good summer and i think that kid named duron williams is a joke he thinks hes an all star but hes not because brandon roy balled him up.

Fair weather fans??? As entertaining as these guys are to watch, we expect them to bring us a championship. D-will said himself he plays to win. So if these guys have shown that when it is time to compete for the championship and they can't step it up, we need to think of other options. I love Boozer, but he wasn't one of the players that showed they can step it up in time of need

Did you say Deron is a joke?! He was running circles around one of your boys, Derek Fisher. Sorry our starting 5 don't suit you. I guess you like the type of players that whine and flop around and somehow manage to get calls to go their way because they're a big market team. I mean it's cool that you guys have so many championships from Kobe just flopping around, making the same cheap moves that he complains about from other player. Yeah, that's cool to brag about.

The ESPN announcers said during game 6 that some Jazz fans might be saying that the Lakers are winning thanks to the refs but it has nothing to do with the refs but everything to do with the Lakers outplaying the Jazz. When he said that, the Jazz were in the middle of chanting "Ref you suck!!!" and both teams had 15 fouls agains each other. Some Jazz fans just need to grow up and stop coming up with excuses and just admit the Lakers outplayed the Jazz. Excuses are for losers.

Kobe flopping around? It is obvious you don't watch games because Kobe is probably the anti-flopper. The guy takes so much physical punishment that he DESERVES all of those calls. So you don't think Kobe beating Harpring off the dribble and going in and getting bumped or hit was a foul? Do you even know the game? It is not Kobe's fault that he can beat anyone off the dribble, if anything, he is smart for taking advantage of it.

You just have to learn that every single team that loses has excuses they can make. But only losers will use those excuses.

This longtime Jazz fan agrees with the comment that the Lakers outplayed the Jazz. With all the tall timber that the LA boys can throw at any undersized middle player like Boozer, of course they outplayed the Jazz. And don't blame the refs. They consistently do the best job they can. Do they make mistakes? Sure. But champions win despite obstacles. The Jazz have not shown that they are champions, and won't until we have another big guy to clog the middle and protect the basket. And regarding Kobe, he's done the job too many times to complain about him. You don't have to like the man, but you have to respect the player.

I would do a Hinrich and cap filler for AK trade. Brewer can play the 3 with KK and Harp, and Hinrich can play either guard, can give the Jazz an All Star pg when DWill sits, and can even allow DWill to play off the ball.

Hinrich is a good defender who portrayed as a villian when he defended ousted coach Scott Skiles.
And since the bulls will certainly draft Rose, Hinrich is not needed.

But they need to hurry as Chicago desperately wants Jermaine O'Neal and Larry Bird, of the Pacers loves Hinrich's game.

I agree with Bill. Boozer is obviously distracted with something and didn't show up to the playoffs. I think we should put AK and Memo in at the 4 instead. Before Booz came to Utah, AK THRIVED at the 4. Memo even did well when Booze injured his hamstring. Miami wants Boozer, maybe we can get Shawn Marion and $$$ for him.

Although that still doesn't fix the problem that we have with not having a shot blocker and a veteran PG. Let's hope Fessenko and Ronnie Price work out if nothing is done.

The refing was terrible. Those who don't think it was look at the comments on WILLIAMS EXTENSION IS TOP PRIORITY. Two people with Laker fan friends who were at the game admitted the Jazz were getting ripped off.

We can not lose Boozer's size and that negates all of the trade tirades. The medicine we need to take is to find expiring contracts for Kirilenko. Williams will be signing a max deal althogh the Jazz would like to get away with less. Those dollars will be a major impact in 2010. We need to be free of the Kirilenko's salary by then.

What we need is Jerry to stay on the farm and Phil to follow suit. This would allow an innovative Jeff Hornacek to join the Jazz.

The next step is to hope that Marion excercises his player option and then trade Kirilenko to Miami. Marion has one year and will be playing hard for a longer term deal.

If we can not trade Kirilenko I think a basketball mind like Hornacek may be better at utilizing Andrei's skills better than Jerry's pick and roll.

Let's face it 20 years with the Jazz and Jerry has no rings and no desire to change his tactics.

Boozer didn't just disappear in the playoffs. He was a much less efficient road player during the regular season as well. That's what role players due not big name players. How can Boozer be considered rock solid if he fades on the road and in the playoffs? I am really surprised I haven't heard any talk of his poor road play this year. In my opinion, he just doesn't seem mentally tough or hungry in a competitive way. Yes, double doubles in the form of 20/10 do stand out. So does less points, lower FG percentages and more turnovers on the road. Every now and then, I hear some talk of his low back being an issue. This talk comes up every so often the last couple of years. Nothing major is made of it, but it looks like a chronic concern to me. Ever notice how Carlos rebounds hardcore when fighting for balls up high, but struggles to even move for loose balls or possible rebounds below his waist. Same thing with his turnovers. Swatted balls are a lost cause for him. The clincher: home record vs. road record vs. Boozer's play. Mmnn, rocket science.

I can't believe someone said Kobe "DESERVES" fouls. That dude whines like a woman about cheap fouls and goes out and does the SAME THING. When it came crunch time in that game 6, Kobe threw up his flop-shot (and made it since he's kobe) and got the foul. Also, he stiff-armed D-Will and got the call to go his way even when the momentum was the Jazz's way. The problem isn't the amount of fouls the Jazz got (because they're a physical team). It's the timing of the fouls that makes me question the refs. The Spurs are getting the same treatment, too. Look at Kobe's game-winner push off Bowen or the no-call in the last game when D-Fish bumped into Barry. Something screwy is going on in the league.

Close the deal with Horny. He's sharp/positive, "gets" Sloan & Larry. H as assistant in 08/09 helps Sloan & co. drive to the championship. Then he takes over, Phil retires. Smooth transfer of power. If Horny goes to Phoenix, then lock in M. Jackson, as Sloan's successor!

Keep team together for another year. Strengthen what we've got. Build the killer instinct. Second round out was to likely world champs. Jazz only w. conf. team with no playoff blow-out games, even without team's 100% focus/effort. Keep it together!

Boozer looks like he's pushing for trade to Miami. What deal could Jazz broker for Marion (trouble) and whatever else Boozer trade might bring? Could Jazz get Redd & Bogut, Brand? Bogut has an upside, 08 averages higher than booz, higher eff. seems like he's got the fire boozer lacks. then, what, millsay/miles at power forward? ok. maybe not. unless. a miracle occurs in training camp.
