let my people go...it's okay for Hornacek to test the coaching waters elsewhere. he'll make the rookie coaching mistakes and then move back to Utah to take over for Sloan in a year or so.

We need Jeff on the Jazz coaching staff full-time. He was too good of a defender and pure shooter to allow him to teach those skills to some other team. We still love him here. This is where he needs to be! Ty would be missed, if he leaves, but his jersey does not hang from the rafters in the ESA.

Boozer, this year's 1st round pick and the Knicks' pick in 2010 for this year's No. 1 (Beasley presumed, since the Jazz would have to fill Boozer's spot, plus they have DWill at point - Rose would be overkill) and Larry (Mr. Overrated) Hughes? Sorry, I don't like Beasley that much - it's not like he'd be that much better than Boozer anyway. Hibbert is a major stiff....they should go for the best player regardless of position.

"Hibbert are you" 1 game out of 10? Are you kidding me? He consistently put in 12-15 points per game. He can shoot from the outside and drive the lane. Ostertag never did that. He could barely put down half his dunks! Why would we want another SG in Larry Hughes? Jazz need a big man besides Okur. Okur things he can back Kobe down from the free throw line, well..we all know how that worked out! We need a big man that can be physical all the time.. I dont know if Hibbert is the answer but its a start.

I think this team would be unstoppable if we got Beasley. People who don't like him must not have watched him this year. He is already an improvement over boozer on the defense and will be a major improvement over boozer soon on the offensive side. He will be a star in this league. Besides milsap can start while he develops a bit. I think Miami is a better trade target though if Chicago takes Rose. Besides Boozer will leave after next season. He is not loyal look what he did to Cleveland so he could be a star. Looks like its time for him to move because D-Will is the number one man know here in utah.

That's a terrible trade. Loosing an all star pf for an ok guard? Just where do you expect Hughes to fit in on the Jazz? We've got enough guards already, and Hughes only had a couple of good games in Chicago. He's too streaky. Plus, those first round picks will be nice. Even with D'antonni, New Yorks pick will still be in the lottery and the word out of Miami is that if Chicago takes Rose then Miami is willing to deal the second pick. There is where the trade should be made, if at all. It would probably need to include a third team to make salaries work, but some sort of package with Boozer for the Miami's pick(Michael Beasely) could be nice.

You know I wouldn't understand it at all if the Jazz took another seven footer. If we put an effort into improving Fesenko I see good things happening for us. We still need a back up PG Price is alright, but I think he would be a better SG backup then point. Besides we need a third PG anyway because Hart is well he is nothing. We need to pull some Jazz magic and draft a great point that nobody is thinking about. And as far as trading Booze you guys must be out of your minds. And why would we want Larry Hughes? We have Almond on the rise, Brewer improving, Korver will fit in better next season, and honestly Price could play that position.

False Stuff: It's actually the number 2 pick, but I still agree with you.

My Source tell me: Miami wouldn't give up Marion and their pick for Boozer. And Miami can't trade Marion anyway. Next year, he has a player option on is contract. Can you imagine being Washington in that trade? Giving up Butler and Haywood just so Marion can use his player option to opt out and never suit up for the Wizards? It can't happen, but even if it could, it wouldn't happen. Despite what a lot of people say, Butler is their main man(not Arenas), they are not trading him.

But I would still love to somehow work out a trade with Miami to get Beasely if Chicago takes Rose, and Pat Riley likes Boozer a lot. Can anyone else think of a trade that might work?

we have two second round picks to find a pg better than hart or price, there is no need to waste the 23 pick for a 3rd string point guard. Price does well as the back up, although is would be nice to find someone with more leadership skills to fill that roll, the bigger need is defense in the paint. That's why we pick a 7 footer, but I would love to see Beasely here if we could get him. Give Boozer to Miami!

Good question Chukar. I think we would all like to know that one, but I think that answer is still in the d-league or traded to another team. It's a tough decision between Miles and Almond. Almond is better scorer, but Miles is a better shooter and defender. Because Miles has more potential and can play two positions, I think he gets the edge there. Almond won't have a place on this team until Harpring is gone. Then Miles will be permanent sf and we could see almond as 3rd string sg.

Not Allen Iverson...But Elton Brand! There is the answer. A talented power forward offensively and defensively! We could give up Carlos Snoozer and a 2 guard, or even AK. If we want to deal Boozer I think that is the best option.

Did any of you whatch the playoffs?

Price is as good a backup point guard as the Jazz are going to find. He is quick, he plays with heart and he shoots the ball very well.

Hart on the other hand is totally expendable and actually has trade value because fo his expiring contract.

I see Almond taking CJs roster spot and getting CJ's minutes.

I don't see any way the Jazz could work out a deal for the second pick, even if they wanted to, which I'm pretty sure they don't. Beasly is a great talent but he has had some character issues.

By the end of next season it will be impossible for the Jazz to keep AK, DWill, Boozer and Okur.

I think they should keep Boozer this summer along with everybody else. Give this group one more chance to make some noise. If we are not top 3 in the west by the All-star break and it feels like Boozer and/or Memo are looking to opt-out or AK is unhappy again then we start making deals.

If the Jazz trade away Boozer, who is our low post threat? Without one, D-Will will constantly be double-teamed, and the Jazz become an outside-inside team relying on mid-range & 3 point shooting to win ballgames. Even if we somehow got Beasely, he won't be a mature, reliable inside presence for a couple of years at least. Boozer had a bad playoffs this year, but great playoffs last year, so I think it's unwise to give up on him right now.
As much as Brewer has improved and probably still will improve, I'm intrigued by the idea of trading some assets with Milwaukee for Michael Redd, as long as we hang onto D-Will and Boozer. Rumors say Milwaukee is open to a trade, if the price was right, he could put the Jazz over the top!

I think the Jazz top priority after signing Williams should be getting a strong defensive minded PF/C to back up Okur.

I don't think the draft has any immediate answers better than Fes. Hopefully he develops and hits the weightroom this summer and comes back next season as the answer but I'm not going to hold my breath.

What is with all the Beasley talk? If you haven't noticed, we are drafting at #23 and Beasley will go #2 or #3. This is very simple: The Jazz need a defensive minded center to back-up Okur (Hibbert would be perfect actually) and an athletic/long/ offensive minded SF to back-up AK47 and give us scoring punch off the bench.

I am so tired of everyone dogging on Boozer. The only reason we got to the playoffs in the first place is because Boozer is a 20-10 guy. I don't know why everyone thinks that double doubles grow on trees. In the playoffs, Houston and LA's game plan was to take away Boozer and make someone else beat them. They took away Boozer, and nobody else stepped up. Boozer is not the reason we are not still playing. Enough with the trade Boozer talks. You clearly don't understand.

I agree with magnus that we need to get a defensive, shotblocking PF/C. Boozer and Okur are very good players but their weaknesses are on defense. Looking in the Mock drafts there are two players I'd like to see the Jazz look at taking. Hopefully they will still be there at the 23rd pick. Alexis Ajinca, 7'1", long, athletic, 240lbs, shot blocker, rebounder, good touch, good b-ball IQ. Serge Ibaka, 18 yr old, 6'10", 220 lbs, very athletic, super hops, good shot blocker, good rebounder, shoots well out to about 18ft. These two young players are very athletic and that is and area our bigs need to improve on.
The Jazz are young and I'm sure they will improve but we need to improve our interior defense and athletisism. Either of these two young players could be left over in Europe for a yr or two or until the Jazz feel they are ready to help the team.
I'll be really frustrated if the Jazz take Hibbert, he is very unathletic and a reserve at best in the NBA. CJ Miles is going to be really good in this league, I just hope the Jazz keep him.

games I did. Great players learn how to help their teams when even when they are guarded better. Look at Tim Duncan the Hornets played him good in New Orleans, but in the 7th game he stepped up and played awesome. DWIll was guarded good by the Lakers and Fisher look at what he did. Boozer doesn't have it in him to rise to the occasion. In the playoffs defense picks up so superstars rise to the occasion. Boozer is no superstar just a regular season double double machine with el matador defense at best. I watched the same games you did.

Any decent power forward or center that plays in the middle and is the highlight of the offense ought to get one if he's worth his salt, just about every game. Boozer is a 20/10 guy and he actually averaged more rebounds in the playoffs than during the regular season. His shooting was below his average. Last year his shooting was above his average for the playoffs, so it evens out. Without Boozer the Jazz would not have been in the playoffs. Even when he is off, his presence demands attention to leave the other guys open. Jazz need to have patience and keep their core players as previously indicated and look for more pieces. They are young so no need to demand changes. The other up and coming young team is New Orleans, but the Jazz outplayed them in head to head matchups.

listen up, my sources have told me the Jazz and Magic have finalized a deal that would send Boozer to Orlando for Dwight Howard, straight up...If anyone on this site says they have sources, they are full of it. Trading Boozer is what I want too, but he is too talented. We really need someone that can back up Memo at center and cause havoc in the paint. I think Fess might be that person, but we need to get rid of Collins and give him a chance. Jarron is simply a wasted roster spot. And all this talk about keeping CJ is nuts. He is a black-hole who might be decent in the league but is playing behind two much better players. Dump him and teach Harpring how to shoot a lay-up, keep Boozer for at least one more year, and let Fess play and I think next year we are dangerous.

All you Boozer haters are the same people who complained when he didn't make the all-star team initially. Make up your minds. Okafor is a great defender but can't score. The point trade-off of points lost without Boozer scoring and opponents points prevented by a better defender would offset if we were lucky. Someone has to be the scapegoat and it happens to be Boozer this year. We wouldn't have made the playoffs without him with how tight the race was this year. You have to remember the whole season not just the playoffs. How soon we forget what he did last year in the playoffs. I am just waiting for the Sloan-haters to show up too.

Yes, Jeff Horacek would be a winner as a Jazz coach, as John Stockton would be. I don't think he'd opt for Utah, given the fact he moved back to Phoenix. That's his chosen address. As for Boozer, yes, he choked when he was most needed, but he is one of the best power forwards in the league. He loves Miami and his family was living there. I don't know why, I've lived there and its humid, crowded and filled with crime and different people.
Brewer is a winner and gave his all. Marion is not a team player and therefore, would not fit.
Fesenko has potential but is a few years away, as Almond appears to be. Hart is not a contributor, let him go. Miles has potential, but lacks consistency and that's because he is consistently on the bench.
The Jazz have the makings of a good team, and need some help in the middle, whoever that may be. Don't even think about getting rid of AK - 47, he does too many things so well and could make a great contribution if used more.

Double Dribble: John Stockton has never even been an assistant coach let alone a head coach so suggesting that he would be a "winner as a coach" is completely unfounded. Sure he was a great player but a coach? Show me first with a stellar assistant coach performance.

Next, for those of you who think the Jazz can trade up to the #2 pick, dont be silly. Secondly why would they even want to? They already have all-star caliber players at the point and power forward positions.

What Utah has needed for nearly all if the Jerry Sloan era is an athletic center. Jazz execs beleive they drafted one last year in Fesenko. Look for him to get significant minutes next year off the bench like Millsap did this year.
