What's your complaint? | 3:55 p.m. May 21, 2008
I don't understand your post. Yes, you want more updates of European soccer? Or no, you don't care about the biggest tournamnet this year?

Nice match, but slippery. I feel bad for Mr. Terry. It's too bad Americans have no appreciation for the world's best sport.

Just another ignorant American. This happens to be a sport the rest of the world loves, and there are some of us here in the US that actually like soccer. Would you rather watch bowling, or maybe the strongman competition, or maybe pool on ESPN? Cause they are a heck of lot more boring than soccer. Oh, and this game was kind of big deal.......try the super bowl of Europe...and maybe the rest of the world, except the US.

Football!

Outstanding match! The teams are evenly matched.

A part of me would have loved to see the FIFA player of the year be the goat. But Drogba bears great responsibility for the defeat.

Sometimes fate intervenes.

Why didn't Essien take the fifth kick?

I couldn't be happier about this result. Man U deserved to win this game; they were the more fluent side, had the better pace, and dealt with fitness issues better.
The officiating was rough. A lot of bad calls for both sides, especially goal kick-corner kick decisions. It was going to be a difficult game to handle at the emotional level. I'm not sure was caused the ruckus in the injury time that led Drogba to slap Vidic but it was the proper decision for the send off. I don't know what "NOOOO's" comment regarding Vidic is supposed to mean, Vidic is a class act.

I feel for Terry, what an unfortunate circumstance. However Chelsea's initial goal was undeserved so I feel the result is a just one.

GO YOUR RED DEVILS! Fergie deserved this at many levels, much respect for Giggs as well. Wonderful!

the complaint is the story was originally an update of the match in progress.

then they changed it after my comment to have the final result.

Man U always somehow finds a way to pull out a win. You have to wonder though what was said to Drogba for him to react that way. He couldn't hold his temper and it cost Chelsea in the PK shootout.

I will be glad when the current Man U dynasty fades away.

This footie fan is happy to see the DN post this article even though Chelsea lost.

Wesley: No appreciation for the world's best sport? I enjoy soccer. I laugh when I see these 'athletes' fall down and writhe in 'pain' when anyone gets within 6 feet (about 2 meters) of them. I tremble to see the mighty yellow card. I marvel that the players run faster while celebrating a goooooooaaaaal than they do during the match.

You and I agree it is the world's best sport. I just say it's not the worlds best sport for men.
