DNA does not lie
FOSTER PARENT: "Hey, kids--I told you! You aren't allowed to talk about Jeffs, because he did naughty things in bedroom and he might be a bad influence on you!
Now run along to school and pay attention to your lessons about the great leaders of this country: Thomas Jefferson, FDR, JFK, LBJ, and of course William Jefferson Clinton."
outstanding post! I agree 1000%. Thanks.
(It's too bad it is probably falling on deaf ears, since the FLDS fanatically believe in what they are doing.)
So how about this: They renounce "polygamy", get their kids back, move to Nevada, and themselves a brothel.
Better, yes?
Instead, the men send the women in to do the work. These men are nothing without the women. Their self-identity, egos and purpose in life all hinge on controlling women. Come on guys, if you're God's elite, don't you think he'll protect in court? Don't you want to defend your family and religion like the prophets of old? Guess not...
What kind of sick sociopaths would want to steal a bunch of little kids from their mothers ??
There were no Germans treated like the Japanese in EITHER war.
Today, we're in a war against terrorism, and that means anyone and everyone is fair game, even your neighbor. As an aside, because of the Patriot Act, you (and I) may now be considered guilty before proven innocent for most any crime.
So much for any Constitutional protections.
If your going to praise the bread at least praise the baker. If these people are doing nothing wrong, then Jeffs has been wrongly convicted and we have a bigger problem than we thought.
You have a good point there..
Your post was just plain stupid. I dont ever recall reading about any leader of our country sodomizing young boys, forcing young girls to marry old geezers, taking famlies away from the fathers, teaching the black race are the devils...I could go on and on, but I dont have that many words remaining
belong to, what religious leaders you may venerate,
and what religious books you may read.
And now "Her Holy Highness Marleigh Meisner" has
declared that she wants reunification! Is this thing
brain dead? Oh, and it gets better, another female
has been declared an adult, and one female never
existed. Do you think the TEXAS MORON BRIGADE can
admit that the Mystery Phone Caller, was in fact a lie?
Those who are expecting for the LDS church to step in, do something yourselves. Talking and complaining that everyone else should take care of the problem only removes you from any responsibility you feel we have.
It is very sad what these children are experiencing, if it were my child I would be in dispair, yet the women have a chance to break free and the children removed from further mental damage. If they do not take this opportunity to do it than it is on them.
Hard to understand, but the sick sociopaths should all be sent to prison for a long time.
The mothers should never have let their daughters be stolen from them at such a young age to be forced into marriages to old men their daughters had no say in choosing.
I don't think the FLDS women need to cut their hair, but they definitely need to get rid of the funny roll on top of their heads. Their are many ways to wear long hair without looking down right silly. Long hair is nice if it is worn in a nice bun that looks normal, and not a 1-2 foot ROLL above their heads. Their hair style is quite odd looking and doesn't really look too fundamentalist to me. I have seen similar hair styles worn in the TV's series Star Trek.
Unfortunately, you are exactly correct. What checks and balances do we have for CPS? To my knowledge there are none. I was recently interviewed by CPS, on the phone I informed the interviewer that I would like an attorney present, she laughed and stated that would not be necessary, in addition, no one ever uses an attorney. I was floored! When I showed up to the interview it was not taped and there were no witnesses. She simply took notes on a yellow notepad. About 5 seconds into the interview I informed her that I was not comfortable with the circumstances of the interview and refused to answer anymore questions. Well as a punishment for "not cooperating" I have been sued AND the interviewer determined that I was guilty. Interestingly enough the criminal charges filed against me at the state level have been dismissed. CPS is nuts with power. They will take a kid out of a home for parents simply yelling too loud. And if you dont know what yelling too loud is, I suggest you ask a CPS worker, cause it is simply based on what she feels at that very moment in time.
And they should be thrown in jail and fed bread and water until they comply. That should teach them a lesson.
According to reports, they are safer on the Ranch with their moms.
To be safe, the address could have been "Texas" or "The United State of America." One address. No other addresses would need to be searched.
Barlow said he was excommunicated from the FLDS Church four years ago, but his wives remained. He learned that his children were in Texas custody when a brother-in-law called him, asking if he could help.
He hasn't seen Esther, or the five children he had with her, since then. He recently visited his 6-year-old daughter, whom he said didn't recognize him at first.
"I chose to stay away and let them have a life," he said Tuesday.
Barlow said he adamantly disagreed with the allegations of abuse on the YFZ Ranch, even though he has never been there himself.
More ex-flds are stepping forward, nullifying the words of Carolyn into a "million little pieces."
The FLDS could ask the government to deduct the travel expenses from money owed back to the tax payers (US) for the FLDS's welfare fraud...
Freddie 9:30am
Your answer and question sounds reasonable...seeing that, I'm sure their welfare has come to a halt."
According to official reports, they never had welfare.
Clearly you are not aware of real LDS history or you would know that the Church really ended polygamy in 1904. How would you feel if I used the term so-call prophet in regards to Monson? That applies to someone FLDS as well. I wish the issue was about child abuse, but it is not especially when you consider resources are being used to investigate FLDS finances over abuse. Odd that it would take so long for DNA tests to come back when I can order the same with information returned within a week. The delay is intended to keep family from one another and to rid TX of non-baptists, which is reflected in the removal of the Book of Mormon from acceptable reading material for children. As a non-mormon, I find that outrageous and wonder why the LDS would not involve itself in an issue degrading a book considered scripture. The same would never had it been a Koran.
Many of us would agree with you. It's a good time for LDS to keep their noses OUT, and clean of all FLDS. They are trouble!
You greatly restrict freedom of movement. You restrict freedom of choice even more. You allow no dissent. You condemn the outer world as infadels. Women are second-class and children are allowed no outside influence, no opportunity for a different life. If they choose to do so, they are infidel - they are banished. All in the name of religion. (I won't mention the many other accusations, as they are simply accusations - the above is fact)
And you are trying to impose your all-consuming freedom-destroying religious extremeism on an entire generation of helpless children. We find that abhorant.
That's unamerican. We believe in freedom - more than you thought. We believe all people, especially children, should be allowed to choose their own path, without prejudice or fear.
Not quite what you had in mind when you were yelling about freedom of choice, eh?
how many FLDS men are in the armed forces, fighting for the freedoms you say you hold so dear? be honest now.
The phrase "serving your country" isn't in your vocabulary. For religious reasons, I'm sure.
While you claim the guilty do not end up in jail, innocent people DO end up in jail disproportionately in TX (and on death row) and the very reason for the innocence project.
Check the UT trial transcripts and you will see that a juror was removed (suspiciously after a deadlock) to guarantee a conviction of Jeffs. The alleged rapist still has not yet gone to trial, years after Jeffs conviction. There is nothing but alleged rape, but Jeffs remains in jail as accomplice.
No, not FLDS but find it all too strange and suspect.
Does it not seem strange to you, after all these years Arthur L. Barlow is allowed to have contact now with his family that was taken away from him four years ago by sicko Jeffs. I betcha anything, if the cult in Texas wouldnt of got busted....poor old Arthur...still would not be allowed to see his family, but good O' boy Willie Jessop who is calling the shots now, probably said, "get Arthur down here...as soon as all is taken care of, we'll kick him back out of the heard". Truth be known...Arthur did not stay away from his family cause he wanted to but, because he was forced to. Arthur's punishment for something stupid he'd been accused of, I'm sure ! !
Agnostic, but willing to defend the right to read the Book of Mormon even if other Mormons are not.
Sharon, you probably also have no issue with the above obtained at gosanangelo. Because the Center does not house women over age 22, she may be kicked out and without a ride. Your heart must be filled with joy at the horrors taking place thanks to your hero Carolyn who clearly exaggerated based on the words of those that walked away from the FLDS. But walking away is not nearly as exciting sounding as "escape" so you ignore all their words instead believing a story of your own creation. I'll stick with facts.
Like I stated Arthur Barlow...would not be in Texas..if The bust would not have gone down...fate !
Answer me this...has all the other men that where excommunicated the same time Arthur was, been allowed to see their families? I bet not, unless they have children in CPS custody...case closed ..
Yes Carolyn Jessop, Flora Jeffs, Dr. Fisher, Brent Jeffs, Elisa Wall,Warren Jeffs's sister and all the people I have not listed are heroes...hopefully more ex- FLDS will come forward now and join that hero list.
Anyone who is pro-CPS is brain dead AND meaner than a sack of rattlesnakes. Wait til they come for your children, because some creep has made an anonymous phone call.
Educate yourself, because YOUR children could be next.
If there are villains at the YFZ ranch, Barbara and Merrill Jessop are at the top of that list.
They said Barbara Jessop wouldn't sign the papers because of an ongoing criminal investigation. Her 17-year old son had given them several names for himself. And of course Merrill Jessop is nowhere to be found. Coward. His children are just pawns to him anyhow, the power-hungry freak. And Barbara is the queen abuser. That woman is Beelzebub incarnate. If little Wendell Jessop is one of those kids with broken bones, Barbara was most likely the one who gave them to him. And they weren't an accident. She beat him bloody when he was just 2 years old.
The mother, Cathleen, tried to do something about it, but was bullied into submission by Barbara and Merrill.
I hope they're both incarcerated.
caty caty...Yes I know her name is Flora Jessop...typo error. By the way, I would love to read more books written by ex-FLDS members,do you know of any I might have missed? Have you seen the movie Banking on Heaven yet? It was written by Laurie Allen another HERO. It'll bring tears to your eyes.
