Take the saved money and open the new stadium earlier, figure out how your going to do the seat transfer, put the money into getting better variety of merchandise, do something positive. Please do not revert back into the old RSL front office, and offer lame solutions. You have dissapointed your fans yet again, this time try your best to make lemonade out of this lemon.
Real Madrid recently took out a large loan in order to pay off their quickly amassed debt. They publicly stated a few months ago that they lost something like $100 million in merchandising, endorsements, etc when they lost David Beckham. They admitted that being the reason for taking out the loan. With the US dollar taking a beating it doesnt make much financial sense for them to come and play us and it is quite apparent that the club needs quick money, despite being known as the richest soccer club in the world. Lay off of the RSL front office for this one, they didnt screw anything up. Sadly Club America or Guadalajara would probably draw about the same amount of fans as a Beckham-less Read Madrid and I am sure that Real Madrid will probably be back sooner than later.
Why is it "sad" that Club America or Chivas would draw the same amount of support? My guess is it would be more, but why is that "sad"?
