Did you know that under Utah law a judge can allow an underage girl to have an abortion without notifying her parents if he finds her to be a mature young lady? You can thank Huntsman the Younger for that one. Interesting that we allow judges to decide when a girl is mature enough to have an abortion, but we don't trust parents in Texas to make the same decision about marriage. Our judges are Gods to us aren't they?

1 + 1 doesn't equal 2 | 10:06 a.m. May 17, 2008
If this mother who just gave birth to a child is 18 and also has a child who is 3 than she had her first child at 15? Hmmmm.

This particular girl according to the available information is 22 years old and was married at 19. Information is available on eldorado newspaper site in bishops book and by her birth cert she presented to cps. (that's also available to view)
CPS lied and continues to lie.
How much proof do you need before you begin to doubt someones word. All you need to do is look for yourself.

Save a girl | 12:30 p.m. May 17, 2008
In my way of thinking, if only one female child is saved from forced marriage, rape, sexual abuse, terror and mental trama associated with this abomination, then Texas has done the right thing.

Age of consent | 6:28 p.m. May 17, 2008
The age of consent in Texas is STILL 16, not 18. And it was 14 until 3 years ago. It's my understanding of law that one cannot be prosecuted for doing something that wasn't against the law when you did it, even though the law was later changed to prohibit the behavior.
And no, I'm not FLDS, or a sympathizer, but I do believe that even the government should respect the law!
I've seen enough of CPS, not just in Texas, but in other states, to make me doubt their honesty and point of view--I've personally seen children retained by drug-addicted and criminal mothers, and seen them killed, while under CPS scrutiny, while CPS wasted their time investigating annonymous complaints that a parent was "improperly medicating" a child--and refusing to check with the child's doctor for verification. I've seen a child removed from a home for suspected "burning with a cigarette" when the child had impetigo, and the daycare center had warned parents that it was going around. I know a family whose child had whooping cough (vacinated, too). CPS tried to take the child, claiming abuse--parents stood firm and doctor backed them up. Scary-CPS is out of control.

So are you saying the same as if one executed for murder was actually guilty, than all the hundreds of executions our nations does would be the right thing regardless of guilt or not.

I agree with you 100 percent
CPS is out of control send the children back home.
If we need to watch over anyone we need to watch over the CPS and the abuse of their powers.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
