Elissa Wall's book is still climbing the charts. Overnight, it rose 5 spots to number 24.

From the outside looking in, this situation seems to come down like this:

Jeffs-I've got absolute power. Hey, I want to mess around with some 14 year-olds. Girls, I'm marrying you off. Boys, I'm kicking you out. I'm lawyered up, I'm untouchable. Oh no, those 14 year-olds are coming back at me. I've gotta run.

Lawyers-The FLDS has lotsa hidden money. We can get it. We'll be Jeffs' court bulldogs. Let's think of 20 stupid objections to every legal action.

Government(all levels)-We've got to stop this guy.

Prosecutors-In addition to Arizona charges, there are the federal charges and we've started to look at charges coming out of the Texas investigation.

Lawyers-unlawful search and seizure blah, blah, blah. Bill $300,000 plus additional funds needed to cover charges from Texas raid.

FLDS-(forever failing to identify the true victims)-Our poor prophet. Just like Jesus. Unfairly targeted. They're trying to take away our freedom of religion.

Public-(Brittany Spear's mentality)-Look at those women - the hair-dos, and that long underwear with those homemade dresses. What does that smell like at the end of the day?

I just got done reading both Elissa Wall & Carolyn Jessops' books. The damage that this one man has done to a community of thousands, accross many generations is absolutely despicable.

I commend Elissa Wall & Carloyn Jessop for telling their stories to expose this cult and try to give those without choices a voice.

It's replulsive what they do to these young children: marrying off girls so young with the expectation to bear multiple children. And casting the boys out on a barren highway ..... without ever giving the a true education or preparing them for the outside world.

For all the times Warren Jeffs held the firey pits of hell over his believers' heads ... I hope he can stand the heat when he gets there.

It's true--Warren Jeffs is responsible for many of the accusations leveled against him. Unfortunately, many others are suffering for his usurped leadership. Now that he is incarerated, a constructive dialogue with those he has misled is the only humanitarian approach to this problem. Education, counseling and critical thinking is the pathway to rehabilitation, not the trashing of their Constitutional rights.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
