i wish i could help put that sicko in jail-- then i'd take the reward money and donate it to the animal shelter or something

Agree with #2.

How messed up is it that all of this support is rallied for an animal while child abuse victims get the sympathy, but half the attention?

When was the last time a reward was made publicly for a child abuser? Or a fundraiser for their therapy or medical bills? Aside from a child falling down a well over 20 years ago (which wasn't even abuse), I struggle to recall public outcry or private donations solicited for such a crime. At least not large enough to make print or the news it seems.

Now, the kitten offense is dispicable, I agree. But the amount off attention animals receive vs. humans is a little off balance.

Maybe child abuse is so widespread and common that it just doesn't warrant the effort anymore.
