Nice to know that with all the issues and problems facing this country, we have a senator wasting time and our tax dollars on this ridiculous matter. No wonder America is declining with clowns like this in Congress.

Senator Specter needs to focus on leading the country, NOT on what is happening in professional sports leagues (entertainment). That is part of what is wrong with America today... elected representatives focus on the fluff and not the real issues!!! Can we please get some elected leadership who understand that their responsibility/accountability lies with the people NOT the party (both Democrat and Republican)???

I could careless if the games are fixed. I'm more concerned with gas prices. Unless you plan to fine the Patriots to supplement gas prices, drop it.

I think an independent investigation into whether a multi-billion dollar business is operating on a level playing field is justified, particularly in an incident where the head of this corporation is destroying evidence that may provide evidence of cheating. Something is very amiss here, and since we can't rely of Commissioner Goodell to resolve it; someone needs to. And if cities are forking over $500 million to build NFL stadiums, shouldn't they know their taxpayer money isn't going into a rigged league? Isn't it the government's job to protect people from being scammed?

Yes, I know there are more important things that Congress deals with than this, but they also deal with a thousand less important things (such as making sure a tortoise has a million acres to roam in Southern Utah). So why not set up a panel, have them investigate and file a report? Some of you, however, are too myopic to see the high benefits, low costs from this move.

What is this idiot thinking? Why is he spending valuable time on this subject? Please get Inspector Clusoe a new job..
