Go Jazz on Sunday....hold court!
Now if Korver and Harpring hit a couple more shots we could steamroll the Lakers
GO JAZZ
Too bad the Jazz continually have to beat two teams to win games. Just shows how much better they are as a team than their competition who need the refs to help them out.
There is such thing as trying a bit too hard.
Just to add to what you said how laughable is it that the zen master thinks the lakers get the short end of the stick when it comes to calls. He should have had surgery on his eyes when they redid his hips. Its the Kobe rules now days. Jordan handed it to Kobe. Its where the star gets to hook and push off with there off hand and the person guarding them are not allowed direct eye contact or you will be called for a foul.
I am not saying Kobe does not get fouled but I get sick of the touch foul calls that no one else gets.
....replace it with a Laker fan. :)
As a long time basketball official there was a clear bias by the officials with regards to Koby. He clearly hooked Brewer right in front of Dick Bavetta. I have respect for Dick but that was a whistle swallowing event. Koby should have been hit with a technical for the elbow to Harpring. Do you really think that if it had happened the other way around that Harpring would not been T'd up!?
The officiating crew last night was not at their best. Mauer is too quick on the whistle and has to create calls to justify his stoppage.
Now we did get away with one last night with Kirilenko's tip in of the errant last second shot. He actually tipped it with no time on the shot clock. But there were three phantom fouls called in favor of Koby and the no-call on the technical.
Refs get a B- for this game. I can say it was better than the Bob Delaney refereeing fiasco which was clearly a D. In that game the entire crew was making calls out of position and Delaney was trying to show up everybody.
Jazz fans complain about the refs when they lose.. then CRY about the refs when they win???
Unbelievable.
So for days, you complain about this big NBA conspiracy that's pushing the Lakers to the Finals.
WHY then did the ONE guy who has been the main pain in your butt get sent to the bench with 2 phantom fouls 2 minutes into the game? Fisher has been frustrating D.Williams the entire series. Mysteriously he's out of the game after the Lakers silence your "raucous" crowd with an 11-4 lead?
Come on..
STOP complaining about the fouls. Utah won because they knocked down shots and caused turn-overs. Two things they didn't do in the first couple games.
Question is, whether Boozer and Okur can have back-to-back games like this? Not likely.
Lakers in 5. See you in LA.
In last night's game the Laker's attempted 9 more free throws than the Jazz. Was this because the refs were influenced by that mean old crowd at the ESA as Phil Jackson would have you believe? Of course not. If the refs cowered to the fans, we would have had an advantage. Was it because the Lakers were more aggressive? Hard to support that since the Jazz outscored them by double digits in both fast break points and points in the paint. Was it because the Laker's have a false sense of entitlement that the NBA is more than happy to oblige? Hell yes!
The Lakers have attempted 126 free throws in this series. The Jazz have attempted 74. There is no way to defend that large of a discrepency. When one team is spotted over 17 free throws a game more than the other, that is not evidence of a straight call. Yet the Jazz will still overcome and tie this thing up tomorrow. Jazz in 6.
I listened to the Rockets whine about fouls for 6 games. It was pretty lame. Game 3 is the first time the Jazz have gotten their act together and run their offense. Hopefully that continues.
