I'm glad | 1:59 a.m. May 10, 2008
I'm glad they were take away. These children have never gotten to exersize the freedom of free will. They don't even know it exists. This isn't North Korea. Everyone is so worried about protecting the right of their oppressors....and their oppressors include their own mothers. They have no right to hide behind religion and enslave a society. Yeah right, the excuse of a bed in the temple is just for naps during long sessions is real believable. Get it together people. I say Texas is the first state to have the guts to do something.

Men who marry/couple with girls whose bodies are not completely formed are criminals. The man who kept his daughter captive and fathered 7 children could also claim religious belief - does anyone think he will be pardoned?
The thought of ANYONE forcing my beautiful daughters in such a manner (either case) would make me ill if I wasn't so danged angry. It is interesting to me that these mothers are able to distance themselves emotionally to their individual children in such a way that these practices have became normal. I am not comfortable with the way this has been handled, however I cannot condemn it either: those children believe abuse is normal. The hardest stage of healing for an abused person is the realization they are not at fault and subsequent removal from the environment -
Final thought: it is my understanding of the law that an individual's freedom extends only so far as it does not interfere with anothers freedom.

I believe a majority of the kids taken into state custody are not even "children being ripped from their mothers' arms", as many continue to portray it- Warren ordered "the faithful" to send their offspring under age 7 to that ranch. If all his extortion and evil marriage break-ups and re-assignments did not convince his "followers" to abandon him, the order to sign over parental rights to him and send tiny kids hundreds of miles from their mom and dad to be raised by others should have broken the FLDS for good. It took this miserable mess to just BEGIN to bring to light the disgraceful, yet classic, total, cultish twistedness of this group. They claim they were letting the kids get up at 4 am or sooner to "work", yet they claim they were schooling them, and many of the mothers and kids did not know what to do with crayons, so what kind of education were they getting? Any ex-member can tell you the "education" centers on being totally submissive to the "prophet"'s whims. Boys that can't take the repression are ejected and girls that want to get out are punished severely.

How much longer are they going to hide it? This is prosecution of a religion. The authorities need to form an official task force against religions, and name it accordingly. The original land of the free, is on a spiral free fall..

I take it, your real job is to post as many messages as possible that incite hatred against this group.

ACCORDING TO ARTICLE:

The court filing also states that a polygamous environment "would make a 15- or 16-year-old child highly vulnerable to individuals who are willing to exploit them and take advantage of their child-like qualities." (...AS C.P.S. IS DOING ??)

PROFANEJUSTICE.ORG HAS REPORTED THAT A CHILD IS 50 + TIMES MORE LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE SEXUAL AND/OR PHYSICAL ABUSE IN FOSTER CARE THAN WITH BIOLOGICAL PARENTS...

THOSE TWO STATEMENTS WOULD TEND TO CAST 'CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES' THE 'BEST ORGANIZED AND FINANCED INSTITUTIONAL PEDOPHILE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS, JOB CORRUPTED' CATEGORY, AND THE 'JUDGE' AS 'BEST CORRUPTED G.A.G.A. BEAUCRAT - SHORT BURKA DIVISION'...

One large community, the children all call each other brothers and sisters. Wow, this sounds terrible! Could CPS concern for these children be exaggerated? FYI: CPS agencies get huge amount of money from the federal government for every child adopted - and if not adopted funding cuts out other programs. Hmmmvery concerning alright, kudos to the CPS boss. Why not focus on the alleged perpetrators? They have the DNA. Because CPS is too big to be in touch, is too busy and too motivated to care.

According to Catholic doctrine, The Pope is inerrant the same as the Bible.
He cannot make a mistake and speaks for GOD in every way.
And yes, all good Catholics will follow the teachings of the church or go to hell.
child's rights | 9:02 a.m. May 10, 2008
There could be no underage marriages and no sex with underage girls and I would still have a HUGE problem with these parents. I don't think anyone has the right to totally segregate their children from society and tell them every day that everyone and everything outside their walls is evil and if you go out, you can never see your family again and you will go to hell. THAT'S CHILD ABUSE.

Those of you that respond that it's a parent's right to raise their child as they see fit are only interested in the rights of the parents and DON'T CARE about the futures of the child. We say adults have the right to choose their path and we are all about freedom. Don't you see that confining these kids and imbedding such nonsense ito them will ruin their future? How can they choose their path when they grow up, if they are scared to death of life outside and do not have the tools to prosper on their own? They wil be trapped there. Those of you that say "it sounds good there" - well, at least you have a choice... FREE THE CHILDREN

Please do not equate support of the constitution as support for the FLDS. We are just as disgusted with the laws being broken and children being abused. We are also disgusted with Roger Clemens or Hugh Hefner's similar practices. Yet we all can't be assumed as guilty. It is possible and probable that a family was getting ready to leave and become great Texans and champions of justice. They were never given the chance to state their intentions. Their children were kidnapped from them. Like the 26 people the great state of Texas executed last year for crimes, those americans deserve the right of due process, against illegal search and seizure, against cruel and unusual punishment, against invasion of privacy, etc. (I intentionally left out religion because so many posters hate people hiding behind it)
To: tmoderator | 10:08 a.m. May 10, 2008
just how many pro FLDS messages are you going to allow? ... the obvious and flimsy nature of the arguments are humourous at first but considering the grave nature of Uncle Warren's merry band of child-briders .... well ....
uh? | 10:20 a.m. May 10, 2008
you say: "I take it, your real job is to post as many messages as possible that incite hatred against this group."

it's absolutely the opposite. it's amazingly generous on the part of this moderator to allow as many messages on YOUR side of the issue to be posted as s/he does. YOUR group has such destructive practices from top (Uncle Warren) to bottom (women NOT protecting the children) to warrant revulsion without anyone's help.
Voice of Reason | 10:40 p.m. May 10, 2008
Well, "cheese", I would be VERY interested to see your "proof" about them refusing their ID beyond a "newspaper account."

You're basically calling the Texas CPS a bunch of liars . . . without any proof at all. Just blind faith.

Hmm.
fincenMIB | 8:47 a.m. May 11, 2008
Its past time to start looking at how these groups fund this way of life. Its all about Tax dollars supporting an illegal lifestyle!

Could any of us to play by the rules support 30-60 children, their food and clothing, medical and education cost? Not likely!

So those who abide by the law, pay for huge families, an illegal lifestyle, hidden in secret until now, behind religion and constitutional claims. We helped build that huge Texas compound and through taxes reward disfunctional families, while penalizing those through taxes who follow the law.

In Colorado City Arizona the FLDS member got 20-25 million a year from county, state & federal programs. About 250 families getting the equal of $100,000. each! Then the consecrate or turn this over to the leadership to expand, getting more dollars as their population grows.

If its expensive now, wait another 10 years, then 20 years!
fincenMIB | 9:03 a.m. May 11, 2008
Just follow the money, government paid nearly $100,000. per family in Colorado city to support this way of life. These were our taxes paying for their ability to expand and obtain more tax assistance! Those who follow the rules, pay for those who don't!

Have you seen the faces of the three women Larry King asked if they ever saw/heard ? of older men having sex with children? I was shocked how reluctant they spoke. But even more looking at their eyes and faces!

Why are we the public NOT being told what is happening with these children? I have been in prayer (with fasting)every Tuesday afternoon for the Mother's, Dad's and children. I want to ask the children to please forgive this court for putting this on them. I want to ask the Mothers and fathers to forgive also. May Yeshua be with you, and that the children will soon be back home. Most of America people are all for the kids. We need to forgive our government, as they know NOT what they are doing. FORGIVE them. The Lord said, "It is better that a huge stone be tied around your neck and cast into the sea, than hurt my little ones." (Bible) FORGIVE OUR LEADERS WHO DONE THIS TO YOU. FORGIVE.....
