then other times it really sad. I cry every time I see it.
You get really close to the character of Danny and wonder
what will happen with his life next. I highly suggest
movie.
Two fugitive radicals must face the painful consequences of
their teenage son striking out on his own. This movie is a
heartwrenching, truthful drama. Award-winning performances
by Chrinstine Lahti & River Phoenix. One of the best
movies
I've ever seen!

it painful to watch, but it is such a beautiful film. The
characters are well and realistically portrayed, and the
connection between every member of the cast is apparent.
Sydney Lumet did a wonderful job.
Empty" has got to be one of the finest American films of
the
1980s, to say the least, one which is well worth re-
visiting
time and again. Filled with remarkable acting by every one
of its ensemble cast (all of whom, with the exception of
the
four principals, are relative unknowns) one memorable scene
after another, a highly plausible plot line, and spot-on
casting for even the minor roles, "ROE" is one of my very
favorite movies, one which I unhesitatingly point to as a
fine example of the art of screenplay writing. Christine
Lahti is luminous in the role of Martha (especially in the
restaurant scene with her father), and River Phoenix's
heartbreaking performance as Danny stands as a poignant
reminder of the unique talent we were to lose just a few
years later.
or another I stumbled upon it. I've seen a lot of
critically acclaimed movies and I have to say hands down,
this is one of the best movies ever made and definitely the
most moving.
