Wow, what a groundbreaking story! They "could have" but "did
not". I think the Governor should call an emergency special session and
get this door closed immediately. Another yawner of a story.

It's Bernick. What do you think? Time to put the guy out to pasture or
move him to the SL Trib.

No, I think this raises a serious concern. Voters should be able to know who is
contributing to their elected official and this loophole makes that impossible
during the primary season, which in Utah is when most candidates are chosen.
Keep shining light into Utah's dark spaces.

This is not earth shattering news. We can already go to the Lt Governor's
website to review campaign contribution disclosures. It's all public
information. The sunshine exists. Just because you close your eyes,
doesn't mean the sunshine disappears for the rest of us.

Missed Point | 2:03 p.m. May 12, 2008
Open your eyes you missed the whole point. Politician are hiding what they are
raising in PAC's that they start themselves. Such as the Speaker PAC that
Speaker Curtis has. Most people are looking at the campaign accounts and not
the PAC's. Just another smoke and mirrors job our legislators are using on
the citizens of Utah. We need some laws that protect us from our lawmakers.
