Don't Con Us Billings | 3:06 a.m. May 8, 2008
I know what you mean Lewis! My budget is hurting as well. That's why I'm going to keep shopping at Costco in OREM and I'm not going to be using the veterans pool, especially after our whole family got sick after going there last summer.

Sounds like you are taking a page out of Governor Ahh-Nold's playbook. If you want to raise taxes and claim you are not raising taxes, just call it a "FEE" When this fund raising doesn't work, Billings, like Schwarzenegger, will be BAA...CK trying to get inbto our wallets.

Who is really at fault? | 11:32 a.m. May 13, 2008
Who is at fault for the budget problems in Provo? Who has destroyed a great idea in iProvo by their mismanagement costing the city well over 20 million over and above the 40 million bonded? Who keeps demanding projects from the City departments that are not budgeted for in the current years budget and then demands that they be completed? Who has pulled city street crews off all street maintenance projects for other non-related projects that are only going to serve less than 5% of the population rather than the entire population? Who is demanding a golf course change costing at least six million be done for less than three? Who demanded the terrible changes be made to 100 South that cost the City at least a quarter of a million dollars, again, unbudgeted? On and on I could go but the answer remains the same - Billings!
