Good News! The Osmonds and The Tab Choir! I look forward to having the opportunity to enjoy great music from great musicians!

How easy it is to point fingers and ridicule others for the GOOD lives that they lead! We all enjoy different kinds of entertainment and have the choice to participate or NOT!

It would be REALLY refreshing to be able to read more positive and uplifting comments to articles written about ANYTHING related to the LDS Church or it's members. It seems like there are many out there who are waiting by the computer for a chance to attack members of the LDS Church who are in the spotlight. I challenge you all to look for the positive in everyone and share good news instead of
negative asaults.
In this supposedly enlightened age where tolerance is valued above all else, how ironic it is that those who are the first to demand tolerance for their own cause are the first to deny it others.

Aren't you being a little extreme. I do believe that the shows are being billed as free. The Choir has always given beautiful performences with LDS and non LDS entertainers. Please try to be less negative. It is better for your blood pressure that way.

Thank you Cindy for saying what I thought. It would be refreshing if more people focused on the good. The Choir are a wonderful group and the Osmonds are a great family with exceptional talent. I am grateful for the wonderful influence I feel from listening to the MTC as well as the good that the Osmonds share. Why can't people lighten up?

Boy oh boy...Osmonds sure do like to make a buck huh? I am so sick of seeing them plastered all over the place. A free concert and there and they rake in the money in good old Las Vegas off of non mormons!!!!! Smarten up PEOPLE!!!!!

Alright. Thanks for announcing another special event that only a few tickets will be offered to the public for, but only the privileged few will be able to go to.

As an outsider, I see the comments from the LDS people here as the most negative toward the LDS church. Most believe that only Mormons are allowed to enjoy Donny & Marie's talent(s). It's doesn't reflect well on your membership.

I am a nobody who is the farthest thing from "only the privileged few" and I put in a request to get tickets to other events put on at Temple Square and I got them, and the times I didn't, I waited in stand-by and got in... Sometimes we have to work and put forth effort for things that thousands of others want, especially when there is limited seating. Just a thought though

I think that is wonderful that the Osmonds are going to be at Temple Squre , They are wonderful family and I would give any thing in the world to be able them see them in person. I am very PROUD to be a member of the LDS church, I have always watched them from the very first when they were little children, What a loveing family they are.

but I can't handle sitting on one of the balcony seats. My husband will be in a wheelchair at that time so hopefully if we get tix we will have a great seat if we are chosen. We just want two tickets. I'm letting my friends get their own. I'm not greedy.

What a truly memorable show that will be - just lovely! I am going to travel cross country to see it, if I'm fortunate to get tickets, as I'm sure they will be in very high demand.

I'm not Mormon and I love Marie. Donny is okay. I'll try and get tickets. Why are people criticizing Donny & Marie for holding concerts in Vegas? They should be allowed to make a living like the rest of you. Besides Vegas was originally founded by Mormons.

If anyone deserves to sing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, it is the wonderful Osmond family! It is hard to become a "prophet in your hometown", and I realize that you people in Utah just donï¿½t have a clue of the impact they have have had on the lives of literally thousands of people around the world!!! They has probably been the best missionary tool the Church has ever had, Wilford Woodruff included. I am one in this blessed group who probably never would have heard about, and less joined the church had it not been for their amazing example. I salute the Osmonds for sticking to the Gospel and always speaking up for the church for 50 years now, despite the grief and ridicule they have endured within the music industry - and elsewhere, because of it! I just wish I could be there to see them perform...

all you who criticize: I don't sense the Spirit in any of you. I came to the church because all the challenges Marie and Osmonds faced their whole lives..I suffer with depression, but came to church, inspired that I could overcome, I am now off meds and it was Marie's example and the Osmonds that brought me to the church. Those who point fingers ususally are "transferring" their own inadequicies and failings. Let us love as Christ did.

Hey Suzy (ABOVE) & others of like-mind! I think you are the ones who need to SMARTIN-UP! We live in this great country of America where there is a system called FREE-ENTERPRISE...remember? Admit it...THE OSMOND FAMILY have entertanined families of this country and abroad for over 50 YEARS!!! I personally, know the two older (deaf) brothers (not involved as singers) as outstanding members of the deaf community. It all began, when Virl & Tom were in need of hearing aids. With the guidance & inspiration of their parents & the amazing talent of this wonderful family, their financial goal was acheived! After that, THE REST IS HISTORY!
I know there will always be critics out there with envious minds. In reality, God has blessed each of us with some kind of talent. Unfortunately, people live a life, never discovering it!

My parents would have never let the missionaries in. If it hadn't been for the Osmonds and their example I would not have joined the Church, not served a mission, not gotten married in the temple and probably would be childless now. I now live in SoCal & hubby and I have been able to adopt 3 babies thru LDSFS. I feel so blessed. I wish we were closer so we could come to the concert. Is there a chance it will be broadcast on BYU-TV?

Don't care much for the Osmond's music, in fact I'm not sure what it is? Paffer Roses? I had no idea that the song was really titled "Paper Roses? Until the announcer clearly mentioned it, the 6th time I heard it. That said, I hope "Paffer Roses" isn't a pick for the MTC. Letting your imagination roll, can't you see the MTC doing rock classics like "Smoke on the Water," "Knights in White Satin", "Radar Love?" Toss in the Relief Society classic "I Heard it on the Grapevine" That would be breath taking. I have no idea if the Moody Blues do anything these days, but a concert for the ages would pit the Moody's working with the Choir. I can see it now the MTC at Red Rocks with CCR and the Moody Blues.

I too agree with Cindy. Thanks for what you said. They are great people and I for one would love to have tickets to see DONNY and Marie and the rest. It's very refreshing to see something good in the news. So bravo to you Cindy and to the rest of you who seem to want to bash this great family who have never brought shame to Utah - Shame on you!!
