Qwest introduces DSL plans with faster download speeds

What Qwest won't tell you is that this "upgrade" means you
can't get DSL service from competing providers such as XMission, Infowest
and MSTAR, among others. Seems like dropping $24M in Utah to kill off the
competition was Qwest's real goal.

I wish they'd use some of their advertising money to make DSL actually
available in more places. I've got the wrong kind of switch on my street,
so I'll never be able to get DSL, where neighbors 2 blocks away can get it.

What Jesse? | 12:20 p.m. April 26, 2008
You mean I have to use the MS ISP that Qwest uses? That is next to useless,
without the free fixed IP and the ability to connect to other Xmission DSL users
with no limit my use of the internet. I guess Qwest is trying to compete with
Comcast only these days.....
