Kansas is a lot cleaner than Kennecott.
Trust? For the folks who only clean up when they are caught? For the folks who poisoned groundwater under West Jordan and the Salt Lake Valley for years?
Trust only for those stupid enough to believe Kennecott can actually clean up years of poisoning the area.

How long has kennecott been mining there??? People start building closer and closer to the mine and then want to complain about it??? Give me a break. Sure....the mine needs to be careful about what they are doing and not pollute, etc....but you don't move next to a dairy farm and then complain about the smell!!!

It depends on how you define "Kennecott."
Kennecott Utah Copper, a Rio Tinto property?
Kennecott Utah Copper, a BP- owned company?
Etc. etc.

Regardless, Bingham Canyon has been mined for over 100 years. You're welcome to try and find the original sin.

One cannot deny the impacts of mining.
But Kennecott Utah Copper--as it is today--is very progressive and thoughtful in regard to its environmental and social impacts.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
