But Chance Williams has been instructed by the Utah GOP hierarchy not to mention that Morley's being sued by bilked investors for a $3 million "loan".

Do I have that right, partisans of the Party of Censorship?

I've got a cousin in Utah County and the Deseret News really missed this story. Everyone is talking about this.

The challenger is apparently a pretty decent guy, unknown by pretty much everyone. He is challenging Mike Morley who is one of the legislators constantly mentioned with big conflicts of interest. Morley has been reported in the Deseret news as receiving all those 'no bid' contracts to build charter schools. The ones he helps run legislation for.

Anyway, Morley is in trouble so the local GOP sponsors a debate so Morley can shine. Then they get wind that this Williams is actually pretty sharp and focused on the conflict of interest. So the local GOP guy tells Williams that if he contrasts Morley's record at all they will cut him off and not allow him to speak. No 1st Amendment for him. That doesn't fly so then they plan to cancel the debate. That doesn't fly so finally they decide to allow this debate though the local GOP guy won't show up.

So they try and rig it with no 1st amendment! Morley has got to go! Vote Williams or anyone else.

Who is the local GOP guy who warned Williams not to speak about conflicts of interest?

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
