GO MEMO, GO ALL OF YOU, GO JAZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Funny how the excuses start to flow when they lose. that is something that I respect about the Jazz. Instead of "we had an off game" or some other comment to show that, even though they lost they are still the better team, the Jazz players and coaches simply give credit where credit is due.
That is good sportsmanship.
Sinan, were not going to give your countryman back, we love him to much. Keep it up Memo!
@ Sinan....Keep representing like you have all season!!!
Go Sinan, Go Jazz!!
I love the fact the Sloan hs the Jazz playing so well mostly because I love to see the Jazz winning but partly because it has shut Sloan Hater up or maybe the Dnews finally banned him, one could only hope.
I expect Dwill and Booz to have a bounce back game tonight and play well. I just hope they can continue the winning streak. Another tough game tonight I'm worried about a let down.
What a great team the Jazz have from A-Z, I just hope they can keep them all together. Develop the young talent and add a top round pick from NY in 2010, if they can keep this team together the Jazz could be good for the next 10 years.
Update: Larry Miller for President, Memo for VP, Sloan for Secretary of Defense.
GO JAZZ!!!
GO JAZZ!!!
HEY SINAN! CASH MONEY BABY! The scuttlebutt around the league is that the Pistons are regret losing Memo more than they regret not drafting Carmelo. 'Sheed said they miss him big time. Memo has been hurt for a year and is finally healthy. He's now playing some of the finest basketball of his carreer. Paul Gasol has nothing on Memo! "Don't touch me, I'm still hot!"
Priceless, simply priceless!
@Anonymous & Memo for pres
I also hope they can keep this group together but I am not sure if Larry Miller will Shell out that kind of cash. Here's some numbers....
2008-2009 Salary Cap is estimated to be around $59.9 Mil with a luxury tax threshold around $70Mil
The Jazz currently have about $60Mil in contracts for 2008-2009.
CJ Miles is the only free agent this summer.
The following players will have the option to become free agents in the summer of 2009.
Williams
Boozer
Okur
Price
Milsap
Collins
Hart
The Jazz will be focusing on Williams and Milsap this summer. Williams contract will be about $14Mil a year, he is currently due $5Mil next year. Milsap is probably worth 2-3Mil a year, he is currently due $700K next year.
So if the Jazz do not resign CJ and keep everybody else their team salary would be around $70Mil, that is doable for next year but that summer they have to resign Okur and Boozer and if they both keep playing at the level they are they will both be entertaining Max contract offers.
Memo to Memo: Uncle Dean and I are sure happy with the way you have taken control of the paint. Keep up the good work and you will be rewarded for your efforts.
AK's current contract runs through 2011 and is max money every one of those years, so unless we trade him we are stuck with that until then. That's why his trade value is so low, no team want's that anchor hanging around their neck, especially given AK's tendancy to have lots of little injuries reducing his production every season.
I agree that the Jazz should try and keep CJ especially if they move AK, with Harprings retirement eminent we could find ourselves short at the small forward position.
I love AK, I think he has given alot to the Jazz and I think his contribution in this years playoffs is going to be huge, but I still think it may be good for him and the Jazz, if they can get some decent value for him, to find him a new home.
I copied your story and will be forwarding it to all my family and friends
I would LOVE to hear your explanation on how Any Jazz Player has 'gotten better' as a result of Sloan. I will anxiously be awaiting your reply.
In the meantime.
Let me educate you.
The Jazz have a organizational system in which the assistant coaches run a large portion of the team. The assistant coaches are responsible for a lot more than most other NBA teams.
This INCLUDES Player Development. Johnson, Corbin, and Layden are the ones who work with players at practice running drills, teaching basketball skills, and informing the players about the other teams'/players' idiosyncricies.
If Sloan is such a great coach... Why do the Jazz Fly in Horney as a special assistant coach to AK??
Seems to me that it takes a 'special' type of Coach to destroy an All-Star in less than 3 years.
Fire/Retire Sloan
As for me, I am so proud of MY fellow countrymen Williams, Booz, Brewer, CJ, Price, Harpring, Hart, Millsap, Almond, Ostertag, LeBron, Kobe, Duncan, etc etc..
You are a TRUE BLUE Jazz fan. I enjoy your comments and your devotion to the Jazz, even when they sometimes have off-nights. I agree, Memo has really picked up his defensive game. He is such an asset to the Jazz. Hope you plan to have a lot of sleepless nights in the next 2 months, since I believe we can make it to the finals. As you say,
GO JAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, Go MEMO!!!!
Seriously, who cares about double doubles? Bolerjack goes on and on about them. Though Boozer did not get double doubles in any of his last four outings, the team won every game. And the Jazz didn't just barely win but by an average margin of more than 20 points per game. So let's forget the double double. The points/rebound double double doesn't mean much. Boozer's improved defense in the past four games meant far more to team's success than his scoring or even his rebounds.
If you are going to imitate somebody you have to get the style right, you can't just use their name and and write any way you want to. Let me help you out...
First off the real Sloan hater always ends his comments with the following...
"Fire/Retire Sloan"
Every time, without fail, so that's a dead giveaway.
Also, the real Sloan Hater will never alow a paragraph longer than 3-4 lines, his points never take that long to make, so the fact that you have one huge rambling paragraph is another dead giveaway.
Lastly, The intro is always short, 1-5 words max, something like
Re:stupid
or
Sloan stunk last night!
...Always followed by two returns.
Remember a good impression is in the details and immitation is the greatest form of flattery.
Russell, Anderson, Ostertag, Eisley just to name a few. They all stunk after leaving the Jazz.
Educate Me? Sloan likes to delegate (he even spoke of it in a recent news articale). He divides up responsibilities to use the coaching talent best.
Then, at the end of the day, he passes all the credit first to his players (allways saying it is a players league) and then to his assistants. Sloan does not need the limelight, nor does he want it.
He preaches teamwork, not individualality. Then he lives it by coaching through TEAMWORK.

According to John Hollinger's Pace factor, Utah has the 9th fastest pace in the league, while the Hornets rank at 26--5th slowest in the league. Utah also scores and allows more points per game than New Orleans.
So much for "grind it out, and slow it down."
