Sounds like a great game, way to go Mike. Dan R. you mentioned in the article
that Alta was ranked 3rd, according to last monday's d-news poll they were
ranked 4th behind Jordan, Brighton and Bountiful. What ranking poll are you
refering to? Alta may be 3rd next week since Jordan go thumped by Skyline, but
last week they were 4th. Bountiful beat WX in an awsome game 1-0, so Brighton
and Bountiful should move up, personally I think Alta should move up also since
Jordon got clobbered.

I was not at the game yesterday, but I was so glad to see Brighton beat Alta.
They are the better team and better sports. Alta has a majority of the
Nighthawk club team and they have horrible sportsmanship both in club and in
highschool. I am glad when anyone can put Alta/Nighthawks in their place. It
is too bad too, because the Nighthawk boys have all the talent in the world, but
their attitude and that of their club coach and parents get in the way.
Brighton is a class act.

before you act like you know whats going on check your sources. their talking
about the 5a rankings. not the overall. alta was 3rd in 5a. overall their 4th
behind bountiful who is 4a.

he was refering to the 5A rankings that wen 1. jordan 2.brighton 3. alta 4.
viewmont 5. layton. And if anyone should be moving up after this week it is
Viewmont they beat #5 layton 8-2 and then freemont 4-0.

Brighton does not play soccer, they play kick the ball and run as hard as you
can, i thought that was called kick ball? you know, the little game elementary
kids play at recess. If Brighton is such a class act why would they play just as
physical and more, but whenever they got touched they would fall over like
little girls? The ref even acknowledged the fact that Nielson is a flopper, even
though he bought into it the majority of the time. The nighthawk players on the
brighton team were exemplifying the exact same "attitude" that the
alta players supposedly were.

nighthawk players are a bunch of poor sports. i think brighton is a much more
diciplined team then alta and alta has horrible sportsmanship. i like that
brighton beat alta

whoever thinks the "alta/nighthawks" were put in their place is
clueless. 1-0, with that fluke goal? I wouldn't consider that being put
in their place at all, I would consider it sheer luck. The bengals are lucky the
hawk's offense couldn't capitalize on their chances. (richard

If you were a true fan of soccer, you would know that both programs, Alta and
Brighton, play a very good brand of ball. To sit here and name call either team
shows YOUR lack of sportsmanship. For years coach Lee Mitchell has built
programs around the atmosphere of being a family. The players treat each other
as equals and go for a common goal. The same is true at Brighton. I know
players on both squads from years of referee work, and I can tell you there are
a lot of clss act athletes on both sides. So please put your holier than thou
attitude away and recognize that Friday's game was a great game.

"fan of soccer", this is all a part of the fun of competition, the
game, and freedom of expression. Don't get your shorts all tied up in a
knot. Chill......

Take the time to look at the pictures and videos taken by the fans, you can
clearly see that Nielson was a marked player by the Alta team and the coach.
You can see how Nielson was deliberately and ruthlessly fouled to hurt him or
take him out of the game. He never has a chance to ---- how did you it as a
silly adult --- flop? Grow up! No one wants to see a player get hurt. It
doesn't matter what team we play for. Keep it clean, and stop trying to
hurt the other players that you think are "floppers."

Your negative comments regarding Nighthawk Soccer and Alta Soccer show your
ignorance and jealousy of a dominant program for the past decade. Both Alta and
Brighton are good teams and many of the nighthawks also play for Brighton. Put
your past jealousies aside and try to enjoy the rest of the season.

I enjoyed the game yesterday. Either team can beat the other on any given day.
Way to go Nighthawks. Soccer fans recognize that you are the team beat.

Would you please let us know where we can tak the time to look at the pictures
and videos taken by the fans. I tried to post a request wice yesterday and it
wouldn't let me. Perhaps the person monitoring this site found it
offensive that I would ask.

brighton's history always shows the same thing. defense oriented at the
start of the season, goal oriented at the end of the season. next meeting could
be 5-4. all i know is not many people are playing as strong as brighton is right
now. i just hope they don't turn out like Jordadn and over look good
quality teams like Hillcrest, T-vill, and Skyline. go benglas, bring it home.

Nighthawks rule | 6:28 p.m. April 7, 2008
so i just wanna know why people are hatin on the nighthawks...i mean did we beat
you to many times in club? or what? our sportsmanship is fine, just because you
cant handle a few words here and there. Deal with it, and if you think our
coach on nighthawks got in the way of our talent you are wrong...he is one of
the best coaches in the state, and the parents were behind us 100 percent so i
dunno what you are talking about. the game on friday was a good game and a hard
fought battle. Both teams brought their games which made the game that much more
fun. And another thing i play for brighton and im pretty sure we dont have bad
sportsmanship so yeah once again i dunno where you are comin from here

brighton's "strategy" of kick and run might have surprised the
alta squad this time around, we'll see how different the game up at
Brighton's field goes, and how each team deals with the other. . .
