Dead inmate's family wins battle, but will feds pay?

Secret combinations ABOUND in the realm of "government" today.

Not a lot of sympathy from me. If you're robbing banks you get what's coming to you. In this case, wrongful death.

If the Federal Justice Department thinks it can get away with anti-social behavior such as bribery, thuggish intimidation, contempt of court and murder, perhaps it is time for a Congressional investigation that actually will deal with issues threatening the American dream instead of being mere eyewash. If two branches of Government take this seriously (the Courts and the legislature) then perhaps the Executive branch (of which the Justice Department is a part) will finally do what is right, civilized and socially responsible (like obey the law). If the 10th Circuit thinks that something is seriously amiss why is this not getting national attention? Such behavior makes me afraid of my government. Why don't the presidential candidates debate this issue and tell us how they would deal with it?

Given the games going on by the FBI, it would be nice if the President or someone at that level cut through the red tape and let the truth come out. The dead brother doesn't sound like a boy scout, but it certainly sounds like there was a bunch of illegal activity on the part of someone in the Justice System. That shouldn't be allowed, unless required by extreme circumstances. (Of course, Oklahoma might qualify for that, as much as 9-11 and other acts of terror)

Good for you Jesse! I have been loosely following this story for a while and it is good to see some resolution to this very tragic story.

Any prosecutor that can't get a Grand Jury to indict must be really, REALLY stupid. Pay the people you government hacks. You owe them for your Nazi tactics.

Outrageous! How can the rest of us support this family? Un-be-lievable! Wicked people committed this atrocity, and they face no consequence. Land of liberty. Bah.

who climbed as far as an FBI agent but was let go as he had a problem with propostioning female clients. they don't hold honor as well as people think...kind of the hoover mentality...right here in utah they sent an arrogant agent who gave only 1/2 a reward as promised to an honest citizen in solving a primiere case. The attitude given was take it or leave it. She also displayed ignorance by thinking that all in attendance were some kind of hicks from the sticks...little did she know that alot of people are knowledgeable to the quise of lying! I say sue for the sake of others as this system leans toward the SS of Hitler's time. Weed out the worst, no human needs to be killed like that.

This is an interesting glimpse into the dark side of our own government. Remember all of these things the next time someone wants to take away our gun rights.

The last line of defense standing against our own government gone bad is our ability to defend itself.

So while in state or federal custody, Mr. Trentadue conveniently "committed suicide". Then the remains were transported from Oklahoma to California. As a former employee at a funeral home in Oklahoma, it seems to me that I remember that remains transported across state lines were required by law to be embalmed or cremated. Mr. Trentadue was obviously not cremated, or the condition of his wounds and bloody remains would not have been noticed. Ergo, the body should have been embalmed. Which funeral home would have embalmed this body and not at least have cleaned up the bloody condition? I have no questions regarding the post mortem examination (a/k/a "autopsy") having been performed, due to the social and legal requirement of determining the precise mode of death. Maybe the family can obtain a certified copy of Mr. Trentadue's death certificate (I'm certain that they already have, actually). It would also not have been inappropriate for the family to have had a repeat autopsy done in California. I feel strongly for this family. Even if Mr. Trentadue had been involved in any illegal activity, he did not deserve to die in this fashion. I hope the feds involved lose their jobs.

Since when did we start handing out the death penalty for being a bank robber on parole. Not just a simple execution but being beaten to death. Not just a simple "beat the life out of you" but paying the salary of someone who will hit you so many times, in such horrible ways, and with such force that your heart cannot beat and your lungs can no longer take in air.

I am a simple law abiding citizen. I am of that generation that was taught "my country, right or wrong". I would have bet my life that my country never did anything wrong. I thought that my US passport was like a golden ticket to the chocolate factory that was the world. My heart skipped a beat when I heard the Star Spangled Banner or watch the flag go up, especially at the Olympics. I knew that
if ever I was in danger I could call the police and be as safe as if I had called my father.

The acts of a few have broken all our hearts and robbed us of our faith and trust in government, in law enforcement, in the system.

I remember when this story first came out that Senator Orrin Hatch said he was going to quickly get to the bottom of if. I belive Senator Hatch abandoned Mr. Trentadue and left him alone to fight through the government red tape in his attempts to find out what happended to his brother while in federal custody.

This is quite concerning.

Wow! Isn't it interesting how "due Process" is thrown out the window and how willing they are to seize all assets yet not pay out when they make a mistake. Sounds like Hoover has been reincarnated and now sits in his spider web again.

Not being familiar with this "saga", I would hestitate to venture an opinion. I am of the school (as brought out in the TV series "Damages") where I don't believe in the law, but I do believe in justice. If this short newspaper article closely portrays the circumstances then, justice needs to be served. Apparently there are persons on the government payroll that have not been given due process. The family should be able to acquire a copy of the autopsy report from the coroner's office (who rightly and legally refused cremation without known next-of-kin permission). Just how did a body leave Okalhoma without being properly embalmed and sanitized? Is there an aspiring Pultizer Prize winner out there (Norman Mailer is recently deceased). Ah yes, justice....

All too often the only distinction between those on each side of the justice system, is one side has badges and the other do not. A very sad situation, when you cannot depend upon those given power to act in the behalf of the people, to act with honor, honesty, and integrity.

Who could be next?

Write to Senator Hatch if you support Mr. Trentadue and urge him to reopen the investigation. The truth should be allowed to come out regarding the investigation into Mr. Trentadue's brother's death and possible link to the Oklahoma bomb investigation.

Both Mr. Miura and Selby were extradited in violation of the Constitution and Laws of the Unted States.

Seattle Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Crane Wales was murdered in his basement by an individual law enforcement claimed was a skilled shooter. FoxNews Lis Wiehl is familiar with Wales. On Easter Sunday 2009, U.S. Joint Special Operations Command (J-SOC) troops simultaneously shot and killed three pirates on the high seas, in a demonstration of similar skills.
