The old logo is great and should never have been changed but there are some logistics issues now involved in changing it back. Shouldn't the city have an ordinance creating the logo so each mayor doesn't just create his own? What about all the city vehicles? And what about the city flag created by Rocky, and approved by the Council?

The city hall design looks like many city halls in the US and Europe. Why not have a logo that represents a unique value of Salt Lake City? Rocky's did that.

...city departments they have to give him "zero budgets" yet he goes out and wastes money to bring back the old logo? Why not leave the logo alone and shovel that money into services that benefit the citizens?

Guess those of us who thought things had a chance to change were wrong. The silliness in City Hall continues.

I thought it was perfectly in keeping with his oversized ego that Rocky had a new logo designed and implemented when he entered the office. Hoever, hudging from the question posed to Mayor Becker, "...about having a new logo created for his administration.", it would seem something that is done fairly routinely.

I think it is a silly, wasteful indulgence and something that should be done rarely rather than routinely.

Both logos are ugly, but the old logo is better looking than the newer logo used by Rocky.

But if we go back to the old black and white logo, the rainbow flag won't be as visible.

If we do away with Rocky's logo; the only enduring accomplishments from his administration will be orange flags and a new Downtown in Sandy.
