Responsibility | 9:30 a.m. April 2, 2008
I'm curious why the good Doctor thinks it is the responsibility of Congress and the President to "do something" about children who are obese.

Isn't it the responsibility of the parents to handle this situation if it presents itself in their family?

I never have, nor will I, ever understand the consistent and constant "look" to government to bail us out of everyday life issues. Furthermore, why do the Feds have our tax money to distribute for these things? These issues shouldn't go any higher than the state, if even to them, to resolve these.

Want to see our taxes lowered, get rid of Federal involvement in issues like this that have nothing to do with them. It is completely an infringment on the individual and state rights. And the doctor plays right into the ridiculous thinking that the government must take care of all of us.
