I know there are many kids, parents, and coaches upset at USC and their relentless recruiting and arrogance. Here's one way to combat this when the UHSAA bows down to them and allows them in. When USC appears on your schedule simply play your JV team against them ALWAYS! How cool can they be when they say they are undefeated against JV teams across the state? Darn USC you beat my team 84-0, Shucks!

What's the rush | 3:09 p.m. April 2, 2008
Why does USC have to play sports this year? They need to build the facilities and field the teams before they should be granted UHSAA santctions. Plus explain to me how 20% of the kids will be on scholarship. Does any other private school's provide $15,000 scholarships. Why would you send your son to play football at USC if he is not on scholarship.

Finally, you may have the blueprints but until you actually have 1,200 students enrolled how can a classification be determined? Who would want to play these guys? If they are not part of a region the scheduling would be a nightmare.

You have to understand. This is about Bob Jones winning a championship in football. This is not about academics or anything else. Academics are a second thought with this bunch.

Movie of the week | 12:38 p.m. Jan. 12, 2009
Seriously, with what has happened with this over the past months, I wish someone would do a Dateline episode or make a made-for-TV movie about the school. Read the various articles out there about this school and all of them have examples of people saying one thing and Jones telling a completely different story and that happens over and over. Anyone know how much there is to find by digging into his developer history? Would that just provide another storyline for the Dateline report?

Say what you like, my 2teenagers went from failing completely to a 3.4 and as 3.8. They are actually learning something for the first time since probably kindergarten.
