Right on, Mayor Becker!

I used to think Becker was a stand up guy. Now, I'd say bent over is more his posture. This is the most important issue the Mayor of our Capitol City has to worry about?

Why not call it "Wannabe marriage?"

I hardly think Utah has any business trying to lecture Americans on the definition of marriage.

Its pretty disgusting to me that our religion is constantly dictating the ways of life for those that aren't part of our faith. You'd think we'd learn from having a history of being driven out from place to place because of our ways of life. We should be the last to pass judgement or laws keeping others from having the freedom to live as equals among us.

I want to say Thank You to Utah Saint for recognizing that one person's or group's views do not dominate everyone else's.

To everyone else who disagrees with giving rights to domestic partners, I want to ask you a question: What makes "marriage" any different from a "domestic partnership" other than a piece of paper? The committment, love and responsibilities are the same. The ability to break any vows taken is the same. So why is it any different?

Everyone is entitled to equal rights. I thought that decision was made when women and African American people were granted equal rights with everyone else. If we can support religious freedom, why can we not endorse sexual freedom? Because it's against someone's religion?

Please. Use some logic. And, remember, no-one is asking you to participate, just to tolerate.
