George Shaw is a wonderful individual who served Sandy, where I live and work, for many years in a most professional and efficient manner. South Jordan is very lucky to have him.

After 5 directors in 8 years it is obvious that the problems in Salt Lake City were the responsibility of the politicians (specifically, but not limited to, Mayor Anderson), not the Planning Department. Time will tell if replacing a competant Director (Shaw) is truly about rebuilding public trust or merely a continuation of playing games with peoples lives for political purposes.
