How is it possible that after what happened at the Crandall mine that such delayed action by MSHA raise serious alarms that call for an immediate overhaul and improvement in the safety enforcement measures that that agency is charged to do? It is, instead, entirely consistent with the Bush administration mission of undermining regulations that inconvenience private sector business. What a tragedy that this once great nation now lives with third world conditions for those who do the hard work.
