Riley would be foolish to go to byu.
Why does The Donc continue to recruit missionaries who signed with other schools? No integrity.

Riley was not great! All you have to compare him to is a punter. Any one of this years QB's could be better if given a fair chance with a decent offensive game plan. Get off the Riley ban wagon!!!

one game | 1:43 p.m. March 20, 2008
Riley has only won one game. What a guy? He did have a little more competitive spirit in him but lets hope a little competition at the QB position will spark some better play at that position. This year is the year Brent Guy has to win at least 5 games. All the players are his players. There are no excuses anymore, and the Ags have the most home games since '98. That should count for something. Hope its an upward season and we have more than basketball to cheer about.

No integrity???? Once a player goes on a mission, they are released from their scholarship and they are open to recruitment. It happens all the time, and all kinds of different schools. The backup QB at LSU is a missionary that started off at Harvard, and then was recruited to LSU. Have you ever heard of Ben Olsen (UCLA probably wishes they hadn't heard of him either). Look at the roster of Texas Tech, and you'll see several players who started at different schools, who transfered to Tech after their missions. It is never a good idea to accuse coaches of having integrity, as that is usually not the case. However, in this case, transfers after a mission are 100% fair game.

This is a moot point because Riley is not going to BYU.

My understanding is that a player is still considered being with the school he signed with for 18 months. Thus, other schools should not be allowed to contact a missionary before he has been out (of college classes) for 18 months. I don't recall the specifics, but I don't think Riley has been out that long yet.
