Dan Eastman was one of the best up there. I wish he could have stayed.

Thank goodness this guy is leaving. Just to refresh your memory, this is the guy who sponsored legislation that takes tax dollars from every school district in SL County (other than west side Jordan) and gives it to the west side Jordan District in the name of equalization (it doesn't sound equal to me either). In my opinion this guy was in the legislature about two terms too many. Now that Eastman is literally going out to pasture maybe Jon Boy (Huntsman) will have enough back-bone to veto this piece of legislative garbage. Adios Eastman, maybe you can serve your cows better than you served the residents of this state. How about taking Butters, Bramble, Curtis, Harper, Kilpack, Hughes, Bell, Dougall, etc. (the list could go on forever) with you.

The times are a chang'n. He is one of the arrogant legislators that overrode the common man for his own agenda.

Thank you for your service, Dan. I'm so tired of do-nothing big mouths like Mr. Festivus (which I'm not sure is even a word) spewing hatred at those who are willing to serve their community and State. This level of animosity is disturbing and discouraging to say the least. Thank you, Dan, for eight years filled with dedication and hard work devoted to making Utah a better place to live. Our economy is the best in the Nation, funding for education has been at record highs the last three years, our taxes have been reduced, and a personal thank you for co-sponsoring a fantastic open enrollment bill, Senator Eastman, that passed the House and Senate with 97% support. I just want you to know that there are educated, informed people out there who are appreciative of your willingness to be involved, sacrifice, and serve.

Thanks Dan!
Don't let morons that don't know what they are talking about bug you.
You are a man of integrity and will be missed!

Mayor Kent Parry of Woods Cross would make an excellent state senator! I am glad to see that he tossed his hat in the ring for this open seat.

Well done, Dan. I'm with Chuck. You were one of the good ones. I wish your colleagues were more like you. Best of luck with everything ahead.

Thank goodness your leaving. Guess you've done all you can to pass laws to help your cronies in the car business, so now back to selling Ramblers.
