Early impacts of water release look positive

Keep in mind that this is an experiment. Computer modeling can only take science so far, and it will never replace conducting an experiment in the real world. They may find the experiment worked in unexpected ways, or didn't work in others. But in a nation where we have placed large dams on most of our major streams, the knowledge gained by this experiment is invaluable. My only gripe is the next one isn't slated until 2012. They should run this experiment annually.
