Fearsession?? | 9:49 a.m. March 13, 2008
You can't tell me we're not headed for a recession. Consider the following: jobless claims are rapidly trending up, home price index as a percent compared to last year is down over 10%, same store chain sales are falling, Fed Fund futures are falling like a rock, and every single business and consumer confidence survey is showing falling confidence levels.

To discount the market response to all the negative economic data coming out as simply a "fearsession" is naive. This is real and it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

The predictions of these financial geniuses should be posted on an I-15 billboard so they can be reminded of them every day as the Utah economy tanks along with the rest of the country's.

The Utah media is ill informed and biased. These stories must be easy to write because they all have the same basic format and quote the same handful of "experts" almost every time. Stellar jounalism!

Confused with story | 5:20 p.m. March 13, 2008
I don't care how many times people say that the Utah market is immune to all the financial worries facing our country at large, and we will not feel the same ill effects as the rest of the country. Since when did we stop using the dollar and start using some kind of other currnecy that grants us protection from the recession? We will all feel it, and those who say we won't need to wake up!!!!!
