although i no longer claim affiliation with LDS, i'm fascinated by the architecture. i LOVE the assembly hall and wish there were more concerts there. i love being in the assembly hall.

I agree! I have reaped the benefit of both performing and being an audience member in the Assembly Hall. It is a beautiful building with a rich history! Concerts like the Gina Bachauer Competition-it doesn't get much better.

I love the Assembly Hall! Did anybody else kind of smile when it said "used for the occasional funeral?" I don't know, I smiled a bit. I love the building, though! The organ is amazing!

I attended a stake conference in the Assembly Hall last month. So this building is still used for that purpose at least. A beautiful old church.

I understand that William Harrison Folsom was the architect of the Assembly Hall. Are you telling me I'm wrong. Your story mentioned Obed Taylor.

Did Folsom work for Taylor? Do you have enough detailed information to comment on this?
