Bob Springmeyer is a very intelligent pragmatic man who would make a fine Governor. I encourage everybody who does not know Bob, or his politics to give him a real look before defaulting back to Huntsman. I think you will like what you see.

I'm proud of Bob S. He is sacrificing time and energy in an almost impossible quest. But he has the chance to raise some important issues to public attention and keep democracy alive.

And you never know - Hunstman could run into scandal and fall out of favor.

Like Huntsman will run into a scandal. I've never heard of this Bob guy but his first impression isn't very impressive. If you're going to run, run. Don't admit defeat from the get-go...

Bob Springmeyer is a good person and would make a great governor. He is moderate, practical, a good-government type, and plays well with others. Sadly, given that there is a D after his name, many in Utah won't even give him a glance.

Long-time Democrat here....Bob isn't making a very good start, is he?

The shots about how the wealth of Huntsman's "daddy" is borderline inappropriate. The comment about how "drop dead gorgeous" his wife is is COMPLETELY inappropriate.

Bob, you just lost my vote.

I am also a lifelong republican. I have rarely voted for anyone out of party, if ever. However I will not vote for Hunstman. He is become more and more liberal, just look at what he has done over the last 2 months. Anyone but Hunstman will get my vote. I have to admit Bob didn't come off to strong to me. He acted as if he was the sacrificial goat. I really think there are a lot of people ready for someone besides Hunstman. He should take a strong position, and my end up doing better than expected.

I don't know Bob or have heard much about him, but as a life-long Republican, I'm looking for someone other than Huntsman. I was dismayed at Gov Huntsman's lack of support for the vouchers last year (though it was one of his campaign vows), and wonder who or what has caused that change. I'm now a suspicious citizen. I wonder about his actions and wonder what his long-term plans really are. I'm not impressed with TV ads with the California gov. I wonder if he is really looking for a post with a McCain administration.....

Without taxing my middle age memory too much - Huntsman will never get my vote. I remember school vouchers, RSL stadium, support of McCain, trying to create trade deals with China.

I'm also a republican having voted in past elections on a straight ticket BUT I will not vote for any of the republicans from this state (Huntsman and Cannon this year and Bennett and Hatch when they come up next) and will not vote for John McCain! I'm tired of globalism, corporatism and elitism and that's what the republican party is beginning to turn into. How do we find out about Bob?

I'm always interested in Democrats. Especially with the governor that we have....however, isn't it a bit more appropriate to try our a few candidates? See what the people might go for? Using this election as an example, I'm disappointed in the lack of real and viable candidates on the federal level. Now, it appears that I can be disappointed in the candidates on the state level as well.

If it doesn't bother you, you can just send your campaign money to my bank account instead of spending it on billboards.

Both will have the same results on your election hopes but I'll be a little richer with the money in my wallet.

Why do you think Utah has all these problems?
You keep voting a straight ticket and you get a nut like Buttars every time, He has a BLACK HEART!
He refuses to leave
The good old boys have a new parking garage.
It is time to let the Democrats enjoy what the Republicans cheated the people out of in health care.
The major problem in Utah is you people are sheep when you vote a straight ticket
Incumbunts have to be ousted this time around

As a moderate republican, I have been pretty happy with Huntsman. That is until he and McSame started their pandering to the far right. It's clear to me that Huntsman has his eye on a move to Washington, and not on the actions of the Utah legislature. How can a Governor allow someone like Buttars to tarnish the immage of his entire party without stepping in? Even though Springmeyer is a Democrat, he's a moderate Democrat and won my vote because of lack of action from Huntsman.

One more Republican voting for Bob!!!
